  1. New bassist is Dorian Heartsong (performed with Powerman 5000 from 1991-2001).

Jason was on the Jim Kerr Rock 'n Roll Morning Show (Q 104.3 FM New York) on Thursday:

Link to listen to the Interview:

    http://www.q1043.com/pages/onair/morningshow.html

The first night I must admit I didn't pay much attention. I'm a lead guitar guy....Gotta Love Tony!!!

The second night I was front row - seated- and calmer - and got a chance to really check out the band.

I never noticed how - just into it- stephen LeBlanc is - the first few times i glanced his way I just saw aveage playing.

Last Night He got into his instrument sooo much. It was so great to C. In the Light was simply stunning. "Everyobody needs the light" is still ringing in my head.

Dorian Heartsong - didn't move alot on stage, however his bassline is SOLID. It seems like he's playing the songs almost effortlessly - and that says alot for his skill level. I was fortunate enough

to see Powerman 5000 once or twice. Loved them! I miss Michael Devin already, but Dorian is THERE!!!

I'm really happy to report that these guys are tearing up the concert scene. Both nights fans were just ecstatic about the performances, the choice of songs, and the

    overall experience.

...and can't leave this out. A very ambitious female fan jumped right up onstage and started dancing with the band. She was bouncing away until security bounced her off.

I went abit nuts myself during Stairway. Jason motioned for everyone to come down to the front. I kind of, well actually I DID, just go freaking nuts and tried to get alot of people to come down in front

of the stage myself, turning around and waving people down.

Security must just LOVE ME!!!! It's all in the name of ROCK AND ROLL!

If anyone has video please post it. I can't wait 2C myself and the other fan on vid!!!

Thank You Jason and the Gang!!!! CU Tuesday!!!!

  2. They were all amazing. The whole show was just incredible. Alot tighter than last year it seemed.

Achilles was just simply stunning to witness. Jason was just hammering away at them skins, James hitting the highs like a heavenly god and Tony with the bow!!!

Stairway was done just brilliantly. Not sure if it was changed from last time or not or whether these guys just really freaking nailed it tonite.

They dropped Whole Lotta Love, but that's OK, the new additions were worth it.

I don't think he ever mentioned the new bass players name. He jammed out, but I must say I really really liked Michael Devlin.

    Rock On!!!

  3. Agreed Kat ^. I am always a little disturbed by the attitude that we as fans have more "claim" to the memory of Bonzo than his own family do. What Jason chooses to do to celebrate his own father and the lasting effect he had on his life is his choice - and if people keep turning up and enjoying it, more power to him. x

    :thumbsup::thumbsup:

The official JBLZE site does not reflect this event. Guitarist Tony Catania contacted venue himself to confirm and has since updated his wall (!) Stephen LeBlanc knew nothing about it and asked for the link. Michael Devin will be touring with Whitesnake in May, raising the question if a new lineup is being formed.

Great News! It was such a great idea to do it as well as a fantastic production.

Hopefully it will be the same lineup as they were really tight.

I especially like Michael Devin. He really jams it up and has that 70's Look!

I will never forget him bouncing around to the booming bassline of Whole Lotta Love.

I was lucky enough to do the meet and greet in NYC and met him. Really Cool guy.

And Tony on guitar is just genius. He caresses that baby like the master himself!

May 15 can't come soon enough!

I saw him with Imelda May last year. What an outstanding combo they are!

  6. Slash / Ozzy Osbourne - USA Tour Dates

Nice! Had no idea slash was doing the next leg of the tour. What an freaking outstanding

combination. Sooo many great songs in one night.

I just wish it was closer to home. Doubt I'll get to see any of these shows.

I guess bad timing on this one.

I would have paid double to see ozzy with slash versus

    ozzy with halford!

    Thanks for posting!

  7. I was able to land tickets to Slash and Myles Kennedy opening for Ozzy in San Antonio! This ought to be really good.

No shit! that's going to be one frigging awesome show. i saw them both this year separately. together has got to be sick.

Halford warmed up Ozzy. but slash is a thousand times better imo.

What will be interesting is that the warmup band will have the better lead. that's not often the case.

Over four hours of killer classic rock and roll. enjoy! Hopefully they'll do one on the east coast.

  8. I had to search the net to fill the gap on the second time I saw Ozzy with Sabbath. I love the internet.

It was on 5-9-75 at the Orange Show Fairgrounds. Found out it was called "Sabatoge on Route 666". My boyfriend at the time had a younger brother and a buddy who wanted to go and needed someone to drive them. They got me a ticket too and we all went. I spent most of the time on my own as they ran off to do their own thing. I remember worming my way up on the field to see how close I could get. Got pretty close, but we were packed like sardines and as I am only 5'3" I really couldn't see much over the taller people. And it got hot :veryhot: . I felt like I could pass out and panick took over, cuz if I did I would probably just be trampled. Found my out of there and set in the stands by myself til the end of the show. Couldn't find any photos but there are bootlegs out there of the show.

I have wanted to make a timeline of the shows I went to and document them some how. The more time passes by the fainter all those memories are becoming.

I know the feeling of claustrophobia - some shows get so crazy you just have to get out of there, especially some of the mosh pits!

I thought the same about the timeline. I started out by listing all of the shows that I can remember.

I also save tik stubs so I'm going to scan each one to accompany the list. Would be very cool to do links

also to ads, reviews, and videos of each show.

Will get to it one of these days!

  9. It's so nice to have footage of a show you actually attended. Doesn't happen often enough...well then anyway.

Now, of course, every show is taped. How times have changed!

I always said if I hit the lotto I'd try to find every concert I have ever attendeds bootleg audio or video. lol.

  10. Sweet, I remember reading about that show when i first got into the sab.

When I grew up there were absolutely zero videos available of ozzy and sabbath.

your show is one of the first ones I've seen clips of and definitely the first ourdoor daytime show.

Gotta love those rock and roll memories.

  11. Here's my review:

    http://www.bluebirdreviews.com/bluebird-menu-title/12-frontrowdave/56-frontrowdave-on-ozzy-at-the-izod-center-dec-3-2010-.html

I know what you mean about wear and tear. Ozzy gives a whole new meaning to worn and torn.

He's Old. Can't sing for shit, Looks like death warmed over and can barely stand on his two feet the whole show.

but i still love him. I'll probably go see him twenty years from now if he and I are still able. It's ozzy.

You saw sabbath with Ozzy?? You have to tell me about it!
