Poor Slash. The frigging guy came at him from behind. Lucky the security guy was on him or he could
have hurt him at that speed.
I can see somebody going after Axl, but Slash?

Looks like another awesome Rush show. I decided not to go this year. Definitely need to see them again.
Rock On!
-
Glad I checked one more time. They're now on ticketmaster. Fourth row definitely works!

More weirdness with tickets. tickets were supposed to go onsale today 10am for poughkeepsie on 11/5 on ticketmaster.
As always i'm online at ticketmaster.com waiting for the box to change to buy tickets a few minutes before 10.
It changes at ten as scheduled, however I go on and there are no tix available...already I'm thinking.
There is no way scalpers are going to buy out the mid hudson civic center for this show so i call ticketmaster
and they say that are tickets are not available for this show!
I call the box office and they don't open until noon.
Glad it's a nice day for a ride to poughkeepsie!

I'll be there at the NYC show as well! It's gonna be a good one!
No question about it. Most bands seem to want to do their best when they're in NYC.
Higher profile probably.
I was there Tuesday night to see Alberta Cross.(who I highly highly recommend).
It was so good to be back...and also good to get the hell out too! I'm from the Hudson Valley and
can't even begin to imagine living in the city.
-
For me it's number three...at least.
englewood, NJ on 11/4
poughkeepsie on 11/5
and NYC on 11/8 ( I wouldn't miss this one for anything).
Will be many more if the highly unlikely happens.
-
Looks like they just added another show.
I cannot believe this. it is about 30 minutes from my house!!!

I see that Alice was just -and FINALLY is(yes, I'm shouting) nominated for the rock and roll hall of fame.
IMO he should tell them to f themselves. He has got so many classic tunes, even rock and roll anthems with
schools out and he finally gets nominated. It's as bad as the grammy's.

I would have preferred a more straight-forward announcement concerning the band members. It generates a buzz not to disclose their identities until opening night but again, shouldn't the buzz be on how well the overall production is, among
other things? On that note the possible inclusion of unreleased 02 rehearsal/live footage, however unlikely, is certainly
buzz worthy.
It reminds me of the basketbal game robert attended in '08. He somewhat hinted at the possiblity of zep reuniting even though
he knew at the time he wasn't going to do it. I felt that he used the zep name to retan/generate interest. And they've certainly
got every right to do that.
By not announcing the band it has people checking back in to see instead of already knowing and just waiting for the show. I'm thinking it's
by design for that reason.
One reason I think it's not jimmy. If it was there would be no really good reason to not announce that. No real advantage to waiting that
I can come up with.

Fair enough. I can only reiterate what I've said all along, to bear in mind this is Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience.
Absolutely...and as long as they play led zeppelin I'm happy! and that one's a given.
I am personally hoping for some 02 footage. Since Jason has stated many times that it was pretty much the biggest night
of his life hopefully he'll have some video clips of the rehearsal or the show and/or chat about it.
It really does make it exciting not knowing who's playing. He's got to know that many are curious
and many eyes will be on Dawson Creek 10/8...or maybe on youtube on 10/9.

I think it's a condition called wishful thinking; Jimmy's not involved whatsoever.
Sorry to kick the dead horse. Here's why I still believe there is a possibility.
Jimmy has hinted about returning to performing this fall. Jimmy still hasn't announced anything and
he must have known at the time of those statements that Jason would be doing this about
then. I would imagine it takes many months to put something like this together.
If there's any reason to go out and do it i think this would be it. I believe that even Jimmy
himself would admit that he needs to find the right path in order to go back out.
The fact that Jason states that he has not talked to Jimmy about it. HUH??? Is it a my people
talked to his people and that's why we didn't talk but wouldn't something like this being done
have to be cleared through Jimmy. He still owns rights, no? Would/should Jason do a show
that so much involves Led Zeppelin without consulting Jimmy. Out of respect I cannot imagine
that happening, but I certainly have no clue as to what goes on and I willingly admit that to one and all.
Now on the other hand, Steve, I'm thinking there's a pretty good chance that you know who will be playing. I have to say
that I truly do have the utmost respect for you and your knowledge of the greatest band ever, however
if it is Jimmy you would have to keep the secret and deny it, so I cannot use your input, however usually valuable in anything Led Zeppelin.
I know I'm probably wrong and that'll be fine. I'll still enjoy the show(s) I'll be going to and will always hope for any type of
collaboration between any of the members in any way shape or form.
Whatever the case, please don't call me Atlas

Interesting read, especially about the discussion of the reunion going further.
Website is back up
Ticketmaster has Detroit but not the site.
The site has CT, but not Ticketmaster.
I'm sure they'll work it all out.
And the countdown is on:
TEN DAYS TO GO!!!
And why is it I still have this feeling that it's going to be Jimmy?
-
Website still down this morning.
Maybe they're doing a massive upgrade to the site with some teasers, interviews, and
possibly who he is playing with.
I wish I was in California tonite for the john bonham tribute. too long of a road trip for that one.
-
What is tomorrow's show?
The Bonzo Tribute Concert.
-
It's not good news if they're moving dates around . .
I'm thinking the same thing. With the number of tix still available and the
website still down I hope this flies. :fingers crossed:
Tomorrows show will definitely get it some exposure.

Here's another ad for Detroit on october 30.

Looks like he's goin' to the motor city.
-
This kid is absolutely amazing. If you can't take the whole video you
have to see the solo at the end.
-
I just came across this on the web.
It says they're going to start selling tickets to the show in Detroit on October 30. Tix go onsale Saturday, Sep 25.
It's not listed on the jblze website at all. Odd
http://www.mlive.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2010/09/tickets_go_on_sale_bob_dylan_a.html
Looks like there has been some other changes to the schedule.
Rochester, NY is no longer listed. and Stamford, CT is listed for November 10.

I'm with what what has already been recommended but don't forget about the Dio stuff that's really great too.
This is my favorite song from the 6th album still with Ozzy. There's 8 albums with the original lineup.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbcc2cF-uDw
Two albums released with Dio under the name Black Sabbath.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EL67mjv1nM
I, and many, will never forget when the original Black Sabbath broke up. What is Ozzy going to do? What is the rest
of the band going to do? Noone knew. We all hoped it was short term split and they would get back together but not
for another 18 or so years(other than live aid).
Sabbath came out with H&H. Another heavy hitter(much heavier and fresher sounding and oh my god who is that dio guy singing?)
and Ozzy came out with Blizzard of Oz and then Diary of a Madman. Say no more. Those were some awesome times. Unfortunately shortly after that rock and roll
seemed to fall apart until the late eighties.

OK, Don't laugh...but I honestly don't know anything about Black Sabbath! I previewed some of their songs on NZ Itunes about 2 days ago and I love what I hear! But I am confused...my dad ain't much of a fan and my mom well, she doesn't like heavy music so I don't know anything about them!
Where the hell do I start? What album should I listen to first? Any suggestions will be much appreciated! I need help guys!
I just don't want to be one of those idiots who just buys the greatest hits and thinks she knows everything there is to know about Sabbath!
Hello Kiwi!
I am a huge fan of sabbath. They are in my personal top five of all time and I've seen Ozzy more times than any other band.
When the reunion happened in 98 i thought I died and went to heaven since I thought, like many others, that it would never
ever happen.
Definitely start with Black Sabbath and just go right in order. The only way to fully comprehend Sabbath is to listen to all of their
material. They are heavy, gloomy and at times their lyrics are even considered a bit evil. (My name is lucifer please take my hand comes to mind -
that's in NIB). But they are definitely psychedelic as well, just a heavier psychedelic.
I wish I could go back and hear it all again for the first time. Enjoy and please let us know what you think!

How about Mel Brooks High Anxiety:
The song starts at 5:40.
