Hi Led. I hope all is well in this mad time?
Both of us are at home into our second week also. It's not so much different for me as I work from here anyway and it's good to have Mrs CP here. She has been painting and cleaning and sorting through things which is great.
Just made a batch of Sultana scones which smell and look lovely. Just need some clotted cream and some jam and we have a Devon cream tea
Hi CP, good to hear you are well. We are well, too. I was hoping for cleaning and sorting while working at home, but even though our services are downit's a lot of work managing the lockdown and preparing a restart.I love scones with clotted creamToday, on Good Friday, we're having puff pastry pie with cod and mushrooms, compound butter, salade nicoise and a Pinot Blanc from Nahe/Germany -

So great. Plant's voice is so powerful. Very impressive.

Perfect sunny weather. Very cold at night (up to -14C in the countryside), very warm in the afternoons.I enjoy the blue sky. There are no planes, no contrails. Just a beautiful blue sky.

My second week working at home. It's ok but I miss my colleagues and clients.I prefer hot lunch over dinner so I have to cook during my lunch breaks. The motto is: fast and deliciousYesterday I had some hash browns, today I made a wonderful tomato soup. Needed 25 minutes 👍

As always Led sounds lovely. No beer or Vodka for me as I don't drink it but I'll give the Bordeaux a go.
This evening: A Coconut Fish Curry. Hake filet in a spicy coconut gravy served with Basmati rice or Pilau if I can persuade Mrs CP to do it. More weed and wine in front of the stove.
The coconut fish curry sounds so delicious, CP.
I am no fan of aperitifs but I love to have a digestif after dinner.

On tuesday we went to a Polish restaurant. The pierogi and the Tyskie beer were fabulous, the Grasovka vodka was too cold. This morning we had a great breakfast from the Italian deli: Sicilian bread, dry cured ham from Sardinia and some Italian cheese. For dinner we are going to have a borlotti bean stew and later this evening a fine Bordeaux 🍷

Last week we had night temperatures up to 14C. That's bizarre.

Here we go...time for Liverpool to kick the shit out of Manchester United. Or...can Man U stir themselves to 'win one for the Gipper' and pull off the upset?
Liverpool is due for a loss at some point, right? I get the feeling the clock is ticking on their undefeated season and they are going to lay an egg one of these days. What is the EPL record anyway? Has any team ever gone an entire season unbeaten?
Arsenal 2003-04. Pires, Viera, Bergkamp, Gilberto Silva, Thierry Henry. Great team, played fantastic football.

Awesome. Cold, bright and sunny. Last night we had -5C, -12C at the countryside, now that's some real winter temperatures.
Since my last post, January 5, temperatures were all above 8C, mostly above 12C.
Forsythia and cherry trees are in bloom. About 2 months too early.
