Great. Now if I was a betting man, I reckon at the end of the season in La Liga, it will between Real Madrid and Barcelona. Yawn !!

The Spanish title race is boring, the games aren't. I'm looking forward to the Super Cup on Tuesday, Real vs. ManU.

Well I do not have a team really but I guess I will cheer on Leicester City as I like Vardy big time.

I don't have a team in PL either. I like a team from Spain, but at least, I like good football. I like Leicester, too. For being a "David" between the "Goliaths". Even though, they are all fat cats now ... And Vardy's career is a nice story.

I hope ManU will be a force this season. Will Jose Mourinho win the league title with his 5th team as a manager?

The new season will be same the same old same old top teams as per usual Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U, Man City, Totenham.

Almost every year a different club wins the PL title. A luxury La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga don't afford.

Leicester City - what an incredible title win and so well-earned.

Exciting months ahead of us :popcorn2:
  4. Back at home, I enjoy the last day of my summer holiday. I spent quite some time at breakfast, drinking Tea for one, because Mr. LedZed has already gone to work.

Now, I have to do some household chores, but I will visit my balcony later this afternoon, because it's a perfect summer day (30C / 86F).

In the evening, after dinner at a nice Italian restaurant, it's time to say goodbye to La dolce vita and hello to working life.

    The memory remains (no photoshop):

Something I make every Friday. This hand made crusty cob will give us enough until Monday. The house smells amazing. I really have to stop myself from a good wedge with butter

The bread looks wonderful. The smell of freshly baked bread is irresistible.

Our last dinner in South Tyrol and they were running out of my favorite meal, Schlutzkrapfen (some kind of Ravioli, but extremly delicious).
The Wiener Schnitzel was ok. The Aperol Spritz brightend up my mood, the Affogato was fine. I tasted a local pine liqueur, but this is not going to be my favorite digestif.

    Arrivederci Italia

Schlutzkrapfen (I'm not sure if the photo shows, how delicious this meal is):

  6. Live Aid - one of the biggest disappointments in my youth - because I couldn't watch it.

I was 18 and spent a holiday in Samos/Greece. Live Aid was the coolest thing in 1985, as far as I remember. All the big names, so many different artists, a show in London and a show in the United States. People from all over the world would watch this one event.

I was optimistic about watching it, because in 1984, they had TV sets in every bar and restaurant in Greece because of the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

So, Summer Olympics are one thing. But they had no TVs in bars or places for Live Aid - and I was the "only person in the world" who couldn't watch it.
A few days later we met some guys from Norway who told us how great the concert was.:tears:

And even years later, people said, talking about this or that artist, oh, they were so great on Live Aid, did you see them?
I was trying to play it cool: No, I was on holiday, I mean, who watches television on holiday :suntan:
  7. Yes, it is Custard, CP.

You're dinner sounds great, too. I like sweet beets very much.

We are going to open a bottle of the Grüner Veltliner white wine this evening. I think we will take some bottles of this very good wine with us, when our vacation ends on Saturday.

    Cheers :drinks:
