We do. Though the window of opportunity is really only the odd day in July.:D

I'm sure you get a few warm months

It gets really cold where I live, usually a couple of days with snow, and quite a lot of frosts, but unless it's raining, I  use the clothesline.

  3. I watch a lot of home renovation TV shows, from different countries.

    Q. : why is Australia the (pretty much) only country where people use clothes lines?

I'm not talking about high rise apartments,  obviously,  but even free standing homes with yards seem to be not using them.

I can't stand using clothes dryers.

Fresh air and sunlight for all our clothes, linen and towels.

    And free, too!

I get that some places are freezing in winter, but surely during their summer months a line could be used.

CNN and WaPo COVID expert claims number of pandemic deaths has been OVERCOUNTED and that many people died while sick with virus, not of it

    • Dr. Leana Wen says the number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 may be greater than the number of people actually dying from the virus
    • Experts say patients hospitalized with other illnesses may also test positive for COVID-19, but the virus may not have been a contributing factor to their death
    • Wen says the counting can lead to imprecise reporting making people more anxious or skeptical about the true impact of the virus
    • Research has been done to more accurately link severe illness due to COVID
    • Obtaining accurate figures has important implications for forecasting hospital capacity and assessing the effectiveness of vaccines

    Australia's Queen of soul

One of Australia’s most respected and enduring singers, the legendary Renée Geyer has passed away, aged 69.

In a statement, Geyer's family said the singer passed away from complications following hip surgery.

"While in hospital, it was discovered that Renee also had inoperable lung cancer," the statement read.

"She was in no pain and died peacefully amongst family and friends.

"Naturally we are all utterly devastated."

The Melbourne-born singer was one of Australia’s best…

Her talent spanned a variety of genres, including rock, jazz, soul and R&B.

She was also also an internationally respected and sought-after backing vocalist, whose session credits include work with Sting, Chaka Khan, Toni Childs and Joe Cocker.

In her autobiography, Confessions of a Difficult Woman, co-written with music journalist Ed Nimmervoll, she described herself as "a white Hungarian Jew from Australia sounding like a 65-year-old black man from Alabama".

She was a friend to so many in the industry.

In February 1998, Renee Geyer organised ‘The Night of the Hunter', for the terminally Dragon frontman Marc Hunter, at the Palais Theatre in St Kilda.
At the show, she led her dear friend Marc on stage to join in the finale of 'April Sun in Cuba', which was the last time he appeared in public, passing away less than six months later…

Renee Geyer was a strong woman, and loved by many, releasing more than 20 albums in her career.

She was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame on 14 July 2005.

Renée was the first woman to be inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame; and she received the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award at the Australian Women in Music Awards in 2018.

      Joe Biden
President of the United States since 2021

President Biden visited the US-Mexico border for the first time in his presidency – and the first verified border trip during his decades in politics – at El Paso, Texas, on Sunday.

The president spoke with members of the Border Patrol, walked along the towering wall separating Texas from Mexico, and visited a migrants center.

President Biden was introduced to members of the Salvation Army during Sunday’s visit to El Paso, Texas. After shaking hands with one of the members, Biden said, "I spent some time with the Secret Service in Poland and Ukraine."

As the president walked in at the migrants center, a woman said, "And here we have the folks from the Salvation Army.

Biden then walked up to one of the uniformed men standing there and shook his hand.

"I spent some time with the Secret Service in Poland and Ukraine," the president said.

This is not the first time Biden has mixed up his words when speaking. He has repeatedly referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as "President Harris."

BIDEN SAYS SON BEAU ‘LOST HIS LIFE IN IRAQ’ DURING COLORADO SPEECH

In November, the president fumbled his words during a press conference and mixed up the Iraqi city of Fallujah with the Ukrainian city of Kherson.

How could anyone think he is fit for president.

  9. I have a confession.

I had no idea what Plant was singing in that middle part of Black Dog,  so I googled.

    This was the most common.

Hey baby, oh, baby, pretty baby
Tell me would you do me now
Hey baby, oh, baby, pretty baby
Move me while you do me now

    Do you agree?

    I'm not so sure....

Weather isn't a religion. And weather and climate are two separate things. Extreme cold weather does not disprove global warming. But I am not surprised that the same people who want to play at being doctors now fancy themselves climate experts.

Climate change hysteria is very much akin to religion!

Today is the first day here in Northern Colorado where we have sunshine AND above freezing temperatures.

    Last Wed Night: -18 F (-28 C)

    Thurs High Day Temp of -6 F (-21 C)

Temperature swing on Wed night in one hour:  A drop of 35 degrees.

Temperature drop in 24 hours from Wed Night to Thurs night:  A drop of 69 degrees.

Our coldest day in 23 years was Thursday.

Yet the global alarmists still are still wanting more tax money to keep the Earth's temperature from rising!

Yep, so many idiots jumping on that new religion.
