The more interesting question is what if Bonzo survived, could he and Page somehow overcome the addictions to save the band?
I think they would have crawled on for another 2/3 years ..maybe an album more. In the end Plant would have had enough of the “rock gods” image and walked away to do whatever it is he does these days.

Yep. He ought to open a shop on Kensington High Street and flog his autographed stuff from there
I don’t get why he’s doing all this crap…maybe he’s just bored. He should have stayed with what he does best, writing, playing and producing great guitar based rock music.

It could be a thing, and I’m not joking. It wouldn’t surprise me if we get reports of the dragon and poppy suits etc. autographed obviously, to enhance the purchase.
Oh no ..I’ve a feeling you could be right on this one. It was once said that Jimmy had sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for success, now it would seem he’s sold it to the big corporations .

It's also worth mentioning that Jimmy Page used that performance to debut his new Super Dragon amps which were then publicly revealed weeks later and are being sold online using photos of Page at that performance to promote them.
He’s not called Led Wallet for nothing …

Such a shame that Jimmy is spending his later years on merchandise for millionaires, obsessively polishing up his already perfect back catalogue and producing music for second rate poems.

Well, maybe we will learn the real truth in Jimmy's autobiography that he says he will release after he is gone.
We all know on here there is less than zero chance of this ever happening….

As Jimmy lives within a whisker of Saville Row, one would think he would change his attire occasionally? Black suit, Black Tie and Black Trousers and more than likely Black shoes. From someone who was a colourful, snappy dresser, he now looks like a Funeral Director.
Yep..he’s resorted some time ago to default mode old rock star who always black ..

Having remastered the back catalog multiple times he's resumed remastering all of his guitars.

There was a UK premiere last year with Led Zeppelin historian and author, Dave Lewis, as the host.
R😎
Unfortunately that was just a one off private showing, it’s not on general release here. It doesn’t look like anything is scheduled for later this year either, so who knows when/if it will ever be available..must be some copyright issues etc.

Is this ever going to be available in the UK?.

Happy birthday Mr Page
Hard to believe the great man has turned 80 today. A genius and a musical innovator and yet frustratingly remote from us all at the same time. There is so much we would like to know and yet probably never will about the man and his real thoughts on his life both personal and professional as he looks back on it today.
Enjoy the day Jimmy !!

I'm in the minority on this thread, so commence tossing tomatoes at me.
The whole "performance" was what, three minutes? Rumble, if memory serves correctly, is composed mostly of three major chords. It is not that difficult to play.
But credit to Page, he knows where his bread is buttered: his image. Come out with the double neck strapped on, and you could pass gas for an hour and the fans would go wild.
How I wish instead he had done something of substance at Beck's funeral concert. I think he could have pulled off something super impressive there.
To those who loved and gushed about the performance, I say "glad you enjoyed it. Let's hope we don't have to wait another 8 years."
I know what you mean..seeing him standing there looking still so cool and fit at 80 years old with the double neck, can only dream of him launching full gas into TSRTS .

Spoiler
The Rain Song is easy enough …provided you have the correct tuning DGCGCD that is .
-
Wow .and wow ! This is so good to see Jimmy giving it some with the double neck on stage again .Where have you been ?! Can really see the influence on songs like TSRTS, SIBLY & Stairway with the big ringing chords.
-
Physical Graffiti ..has everything, all styles ..perfect
Led Zeppelin I ..pure energy, possibly Zeppelin at their best as a single unit
Presence…just for the majesty of Achilles Last Stand alone ..also Jimmy working his ass off for the whole album
Led Zeppelin 2..perfect second album
Led Zeppelin 4…never been my favourite but obviously Stairway (& Black Dog )
Led Zeppelin 3.. ok but Hats off to Harper will forever tarnish it for me
Houses of the Holy …weird production ..highlight is No Quarter .plus TSRTS best live track ...(The Crunge ..seriously lads ?!)
In Through the Out Door ..could have been a lot better….add Wearing &Tearing & Darlene ….get rid of Hot Dog and All my Love

Um, yeah, I saw it last night. Well worth seeing in a theatre with a booming 5.1 sound system.
Would love to but it’s not showing here in the UK at all, hopefully will be out on Netflix soon so my home system will have to suffice.
