Yes, indeed. He even played my danelectro on stage in Atlanta at a show a few years ago. He’s the best and the nicest guy, too!!!
R😎🎸👍
Can you get him to come and play in UK then 😁

Mr Sakurai even has the right amount of sweat...enjoy folks !

Nice try kid but your timing is a bit off...Jimmy is playing slightly before and sometimes after the beat..very rare he’s on top of it like you. Keep at it tho!

Oh, my sides! I was going to explain how Bonamassa looks like an investment banker onstage but...
He does indeed resemble an economist 😂

I agree...really love Bonamassa, the album Blues of Desperation is the album Jimmy could have made in the early 80s

Saw Mr. Jimmy with Jason Bonham open for Peter Frampton this summer. AMAZING. Mr. Jimmy is a force to be reckoned with and I found myself very emotional watching Jason in dads role.
Seconding Get The Led Out. Amazing musicianship and they go deep into albums. I see them every time they come through town.
As close as you will ever see or hear to the real thing..simply Awesome ..love Jimmy Sakurai!

A great story and thanks for sharing ...personally I would have kept the case tho 😉

....er yes anyway, it’s a nice picture of Jimmy with a dog..a black one.

It sounded better in the hall than it does on the video.
I’ll take your word for it S!

A fantastic track ...should have ditched Hot Dog and had this on the album instead.

If so, the answer is because Prelude, City Sirens and Who's to blame are all the Death Wish II soundtrack released about 18 months prior. Aside from that album, he had released no other post-Led Zeppelin solo material at that time.
Cheers SAJ ..I never really got it but it’s somewhat clearer now. Not exactly vintage Page performance but he sure looked cool doing it !

I was reading an account of this in Mark Ellen’s book. They were both up all night on red wine and coke the night before accompanied by two fair maidens
Yes that’s what I’d read as well ...sounds great fun but not something our hero would ever admit to 😁

Diary entry 6th November 1984: “ played with my great friend Roy Harper on set at Scafell Pike for the Old Grey Whistle Test. Had spent the previous evening with Roy having nice quiet pub dinner and then an early night in preparation for the day’s filming...”
-
Diary Entry 12 January 1969 “ Today saw the release of our debut album, all new material ( I made sure the mics were placed well away from the amps) So myself and Jeff have both released new stuff recently, cool vibe going down ...
Note to self —I’ve not heard from Jeff for ages really strange cos he used to be round here a lot.....must look him up sometime.......”

The question should be “Why.?” .....not when ?

Come on ..it’s definitely “blow “ ..think about it !

Diary entry from the yardbirds US tour. " the rest of the band go out to watch a singer named Jake Holmes, who I have definitely never heard of, but I decide to stay in and work on a new tune of mine called dazed and confused"
Just carrying on in this theme:
Diary Entry 3rd August 1977 “ just got back from US Tour, my goodness went really well despite having a dose of food poisoning and some sort of bug for the entire trip I just couldn’t shake off...”
Best and worst tribute bands...
