  1. From Billboard.com:

Guns N' Roses 'Negotiating' To Release New Album

    rose_axl_01l.gif

    Axl Rose

    Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.

With a new management team in place, Guns N' Roses is "in negotiations" for the release of its decade-in-the-making album "Chinese Democracy," according to a post on the band's Web site.

The message did not elaborate on what the discussions concern, or offer an approximate release date for "Chinese Democracy," which was last on Interscope's release schedule in March 2007.

In other GNR news, guitarist Robin Finck has left the Axl Rose-led band to return to Nine Inch Nails, and will tour with the latter act this summer.

"Robin's plans caught everyone in Guns, as well as our fans, a bit off-guard," the band says. "Neither we nor management, etc., know any more in this regard and we prefer not to speculate or offer opinions at this time."

"When we begin to put tour plans together, we'll see where things are," the post continues. "Until then, Robin's touring with NIN and we're working with management on our game plans."

Wow, Robin Fink leaving new Guns in going to affect touring of the Album, if and when it coems out. He's been there from almost the get go. as far as the new album is concerned.

  2. wow. words fail me.

i think you need to start thinking about growing up pal.

Right, because telling someone to fuck off, and attempting to end a conversation on a message board is real mature...

I was stooping to your level if anything. You've made some pretty ignorant comments yourself. So stop trying to act high and mighty.

  3. i think you guys are all pathetic pieces of shit. i mean come on you stupid DUMBASSES. its a fucking band. how fucking controversal can it get ?

instead of focusing all your fucking though process into a band, think of something that actually matters.

    get a fucking life.

    dumbass internet geeks.

Internet geek? You are here are you not?

  4. What we've got here, is people trying to get other people they know, to come into a situation, agree with them, with the intention of having a potential impact.

That really is quite obvious and lame.

Your idiocy level is astounding... Do you really think I'd have someone come in a topic to agree with me. You are not an intelligent person.

  5. This has been a very interesting debate, although it gives me a headache. As does Axl's hair.

I have a feeling that you are wrong on all of the above mentioned 3 kinds of people. Easy to say those kinds of things about anyone on any thread.

What did I tell you about this bullshit?

"Drunk" was referring to me, in the post above yours?

Is he spot on with his guestimations about me?

  6. As I have proven before, and as you always prove, you aren't knowledgeable at all. You regularly recite bullshit from stuff like GNR's Behind The The Music, and various other trash.

I have already dealt with you, and I'm not interested in dealing with it anymore, so how about you stop trying to talk to me.

You one or more of 3 kinds of people:

    1. You are the guy who acts like this in public, pisses the wrong motherfucker off, and gets his ass beat the fuck down.

    2. Or you are the lonely little dude sitting behind his computer, talking a big bunch of shit, knowing he'll never suffer the consequences.

    3. You are legally handicapped, and people put up with you because they feel sorry for you, or because it is wrong to fuck with a handicapped person.

Now, stop talking. I can't tolerate your stupidity anymore

I love how you immediately tag me as some loud mouth who gets his ass beat. That's your wittiest remark? Getting into fights is embarrassing, not only for me, but for the people around me. I'm old enough (or mature enough) to know better. Second, do I need to justify myself, or my 3 years of Muay Thai, or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to you, about how I could possibly back myself up if need be? No, but it's a prime example of how fucking stupid and immature you truly are.

Are you the idiot who goes around picking fights because you fail to come up with any intelligent thing to say in reply to a comment aimed at you? Am I right? Maybe you could send me a picture of yourself, and some girl you date-raped once, to me... So I can send it to www.Hotchickswithdouchebags.com. Because you are slowly fitting the profile. Maybe you should go and listen to your "trapt" cd. I know you have one...

And you are very wrong, I don't cite behind the music at all, but I'm smart enough to know that, 3-4 of the other guys in that band, all saying the same shit, normally means that it's pretty much the way it happened. I'd take Izzy Stradlins word over any of those guys anyday. Why don't you look up some articles on www.Heretodaygonetohell.com about Izzy, and what went on (as he was the only sober observer from the inside)

I do cite Slash's book as a decent source, as if he were lying about certain things, he could be sued. You must know that though, being as smart as you are...

Lonely little dude? No, you've got me pegged completely wrong, which just goes to show how assessments like that, make you look like a complete ass.

My stupidity? How many people here are completely against you in this argument? You sound like a complete fucking moron. The simple fact that you had the audacity to comment on a band situation, when you don't even play an instrument, is pretty solid proof that you are a moron.

That's like me commenting on stock trading, when I know nothing of the market itself.

  7. 1. I am on no "windup" and I am not "angry", so if that is what you're interpreting, then you are wrong. I suggest a closer analysis of the others' posts in this thread. You seem to be confused or biased.

    2. An artist's job is not to "deliver" to the fans. An artist's job is to make music he is satisfied with, that he wants to perform, and that he can comfortably put his name on. This isn't about the fans. It's about a personal mission to accomplish what the person wants to accomplish. Axl Rose doesn't owe us anything. It's our choice to take an interest and be fans.

Now in regards to this thread: these are not "concerned fans" who feel "let down" by Axl Rose. The other two people in this thread are relentless GNR basher's who are ignorant, misinformed, have a severe lack of knowledge, and have a consistent agenda. They have continually bashed Axl Rose at every opportunity on this message board.

As I said before, if you aren't a fan, stay the fuck out.

Let me tell you something. You are the only one here who is misinformed, and not only that, you are probably, the most biased person here.

I know this, because I am probably the most well informed, and knowledgeable about the band known as Guns 'n' Roses.

And you are wrong, I am a fan of Axl Rose. I don't care for him as a person, and I don't like the fact that he alienated the people who helped make Gn'R what they were. The sad fact about you, is that, you fail to realize this. And another sad fact, is that you are on his nutsack.

What I like about Axl, is his voice, and ability to write lyrics. But I dislike the fact that he wanted to transform Guns into something they weren't.

Maybe you should do us all a favor, and stay the fuck out...

  8. Based off your response Jahfin, I can reasonably conclude that I got it right: Axl had his way with a family member of yours.

hey man, I might hate the dude to if I was in the same situation.

How old are you? You should seriously go take a good look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself how you came to be.

You are a sad, little worthless Axl Rose loving freak .

  9. Of course the two idiots march on in when a GNR topic gets started (electricretard and jahfin).

If you're not a fan, then how about you stay away, because fans don't need to hear your bitching.

"Electricretard"... man, if I was intelligent as you, there wouldn't be anything I couldn't accomplish.

You are a funny guy... this coming from the idiot who named himself "DRUNK".

I can go anywhere I please., and post anywhere I please.

You are so far gone from realty, it's a sad fact actually. It's unbelievable how much of a cock sucker you really are. Do you remove Axl's cock while you sit and type at the computer?

  10. funny you should say that. so many of you on this thread have talked so much shit about the current gnr line-up before you have even heard any of the new material or what the new line-up is even capable of.

I've heard plenty of the "New Material" I heard it broadcast on Eddie Trunks radio show. I heard it all over the net a couple years ago. Some of it was good, some of it was epic bullshit. It sounded like the all Axl.

  11. No, you aren't a GNR fan, but a GNR hater, so why do you always insist on posting in GNR threads?

You are a luny obsessed music fan that wish they could have been a successful musician, but instead have settled for the role of fan/critic, which anyone can do.

You are a biased anti Axl fan, so go fuck yourself.

I rather take quality over quantity. So me, like millions of other Axl fans around the world, will wait for the album, because we know it will be good.

You will continue to bitch, even when it is a massive success.

Listen here asshole, if anyone is biased, it's you. You are so far up Axl Rose's ass, that you can barely see any sunlight.

Don't tell Jahfin to go fuck himself, he has every right to voice his opinion. You are as closed minded as all other Axl fans. You believe that "Chinese Democracy" will be such a great album, because he was the true talent of Gn'R. Which you are wrong. That band was made up of five people, communicating certain ideas to one another. And you will never hear anything like it again. Like I said, if you knew anything about being in a band situation, or playing a lick of music yourself, you might have a certain idea. But you don't, you hack.

    What defines success?

  12. Jerry Cantrell is simply amazing when it comes to writing. His singing is amazing as well. The rest of the band, Sean Kinney, Mike Inez, Layne Staley... A great fucking band.

If you don't have Boggy Depot or Degradation trip, pick them up. Very much worth it.

  13. Jeez. Who could actually listen to a Raghead like Axil. I say put some 90 weight on his arse and ship him elsewhere.

    zepbaby

    Like where, Britain?

I personally like Axl as a frontman, aside from the bullshit he pulled/pulls on occasion. He stuck up for a fan getting his ass beat by security once, and had the security guard ejected.

What I don't like, is people not knowing what the fuck they are talking about, and considering Axl, gods gift to Rock n' Roll.

In my opinion, he was one of the best around. But he did pretty much kill his band with his antics and he still doesn't know what he had as a band, as far as Slash and co. goes.

  14. is that your opinion or did you copy and paste that from some article you read on the internet.

how does axl diss his fans ?

    by showing up late ?

by doing the same fucking thing he has been doing for over 20 years ?

    get over it !

so ignorant and naive. go back to your blabbermouth.net or mtv.com and follow the anti-axl trend that seems to be going on.

dont even try to argue with me about this. i know the facts.

Another Axl Rose ball licker... What was the point of this post? Like Axl didn't shit on his fans? Axl has been known to go on three hours after the opening act was done. Are you denying that he ever did something like this?

And you are dead wrong. Axl didn't start going on late until 90 or so. When they were touring the Illusions albums. Maybe even as late as 91. When the tours were at their biggest.

  15. I agree that Axl is what really made up the essence of GnR. His ego is what drove the whole ship. Not to say the others didn't step up when it came to time to massage Axl's ego with great albums.

But the other guys are a huge part. It's not like Axl was writin their parts. He was makin sure the album sounded just like he wanted.

Slash has one of the most recognizable sounds, and thats sayin somethin, since it's mostly real basic stuff.

Izzy gets overshadowed so much, but he wrote tons of riffs, and played the more lead-y parts on those riffs.

    Duff just brought the attitude

The drummer for them was always replacable, as it was usually really basic stuff.

You are wrong. Izzy laid down basic scratch tracks, and that was it. He wasn't involved in any lead playing, save a few solo intros.

Axl brought way more attitude then Duff. How you came to that conclusion is beyond me.

Again, it's been said on numerous occasions that Steven brought a better feel, over Sorum, by the guy who was in charge of finding replacement players (Slash).

In case you and Drunk didn't know, Slash was in charge of finding Izzy's replacement, and Steven Adlers as well.

  16. Steven Adler was replaceable. In fact, he was pretty easily replaceable. Matt Sorum came in and learned everything rather quickly. Out played him actually when it came time to tour.

I know everything about GNR. If someone owns every single magazine interview, or magazine featuring something about GNR in it, and owns everything put out by the band, and owns or has read and re read everything ever put out by the band or about the band, then I guess that person might know just about everything. Obviously, you can't claim this with a straight face because your comments have shown that you indeed don't know much about GNR. I guess for you, knowing everything about GNR is watching VH1's Behind The Musics.

Izzy did feel dictated too, but then again when a component doesn't want to tour, and puts no effort into the performance, and the band feels he isn't earning his share of the revenue, then I can see where he might be dictated to, and I can see why he wouldn't be happy with it.

Just cause 3 guys agree on some stuff, doesn't make it true. They have contradicted themselves and have also been quite two faced. The only person who has been consistent and makes sense is Axl Rose.

Here we go... you don't know a damn thing. Why do you bother to comment, when the people who were there living it, said that they had a hard time, a very hard time replacing Steven Adler. You know nothing of making music. Shit, I remember a topic you started, about wanting to learn the guitar, several months ago. You don't have any idea what a drummer brings to the table. Because you don't know a thing about drumming.

You don't know anything about Gn'R, I remember a few other topics, one on the old board for example, where you started conversation about Gn'R. And yes, I own numerous magazines, and completed Slash's book (Didn't hear anyone inside the band denying anything against his book)

Axl Rose is not consistent, simply because he refuses to comment on anything.

Izzy Stradlin never said anything about the touring process. He was tired of Axl Rose's shit, and the drug usage. Flying was also an issue. Izzy had quit the band, pre- Slash, numerous times before due to Axl audtioning new people w/o Izzy's consent.

  17. Steven Adler was worthless. He is not a great drummer, nor did he contribute anything special. That's up to personal opinion, but a drummer is an easily replaceable component, especially in this case. Of course, when any original member leaves a band, there are people who have hard feelings over it. Don't make your hard feelings over this, and your resistance to change, make him look like such a great contributor in hindsight, cause he wasn't.

The Illusion albums were awesome, and so were the tours that followed. I guess you are one of those people that don't like any sort of evolution. I don't know about you, but for me and a lot of people, a band playing the same old material, the same old way, becomes a little boring after a short while. You are talking like the Illusion albums were a bad thing, and if you think that, then you are missing out on a whole lot.

I sure as hell don't see the Snakepit material being suited as the next part of Guns n Roses. If you think the material was suited for the next part of GNR, then that's your opinion. I am quite happy this didn't happen.

In your mind, you have put me in my place. That is hilarious. You are one of the most uninformed and ignorant people I have conversed with on this message board. I think that is clear for all to see. How about next time, you don't respond to me, because it is the same old story: I can never convince an idiot of anything.

When your band is a bunch of drug addicts, living wrecklessly, and failing to be responsible members, maybe you need to take matters into your own hands. I can't fault Axl. Besides, Axl is Guns n Roses anyway.

Izzy left because the band was full of drug addicts, and he was now clean and sober. It's probably not good to be around those kind of people when you have had addiction problems yourself. Besides, Izzy never wanted the fame or responsibility, and he hated touring.

My advice to you is to stop subscribing to propaganda, and stop basing your ideas off of it. Presenting propaganda as facts is a waste of time.

Drummers easily replaceable? And you know this how? By playing guitar for how many months? You've pretty much insulted all drummers with your stupid comment. And you say I'm ignorant?

And yes, you need to get your facts straight. You don't know a damn thing about Guns n' Roses and it clearly shows.

Izzy left the band for two reasons, he felt that he was dictated to on a serious level, and yes, the drugs and alcohol did play their part.

I'm uninformed? Seriously dude, look in the mirror. I'll blow you out of the water when it comes to Gn'R knowledge. Do you know what propaganda is? I'm a firm believer that hearing the same thing from Duff, Izzy and Slash about Axl Rose clearly outlines what the situation was really like.

Also, If you ever run into Duff or Slash, ask them how easy it was to replace Steven Adler.

  18. ya know, I can answer all these posts.

    1. The original members left the band. They weren't fired, except Steven Adler, but he was worthless anyway, so matter what anyone may think.

    2. Axl was the driving force behind Guns n Roses. He wrote the lyrics. Ok. He is the singer. Ok. But most importantly, he pulled everything out of those guys. He inspired them, directed them, pushed them, and got what he wanted out of them. He is responsible for their success.

If anyone wants to know what the next GNR record was going to be, I recommend to buy the first Slash's Snakepit album. That was what Slash put forward to Axl. Go listen to it, and tell me if that would have been a great GNR album.

That would have destroyed the band, because it was terrible.

So you can blame Axl all you want, but you can't fault his integrity. The man just wants to come out with something that lives up to the legendary GNR name, and from what I have heard so far, he is succeeding, and if the album comes out, it will probably be the best album of the last 20 years.

Unfortunately, the Velver Revolver albums have been pretty mediocre and uninspiring.

No one likes change. I love GNR. I love the old band. However, I am openminded enough to understand what is going on, and I have to say Axl had made the right decisions.

I said you were a fool, and stand by my remark. Steven Adler worthless? Pretty much everyone in that band, aside your boy Axl disagrees with you, and all have gone to state how much of a groove he brought.

second, Axl Rose was also the driving force behing the horn arrangments, and over-production behind the illusion albums. Axl was also responsible for the bloated live shows, insane amounts of money spending, and complete lack of care for fans.

The first Snakepit album had some solid rock songs, only Eric Singer single-handedly brought the sound down with his singing.

I've had countless arguments with you about Guns n' Roses, and everytime I have to put you in your place. Here's a good example... Slash and Duff were pretty much forced out, due to asinine contracts Axl was wanting him and Duff to sign. He essentially was forcing them to become hired hands, or backing musicians, as he was the sole owner of the name (which we all know how he got).

You don't give Izzy Stradlin enough credit. Izzy was the one Axl needed the most. Izzy wrote a lot of the Riffs you hear on Appetite, and lyrics as well. He left for the same reasons. It's kind of ironic that all members state that Axl was a dictator. Do you not believe them?

    Read the Slash biography.

  19. I hate when people say that. If it weren't for Axl Rose, none of us would know Slash's name.

    Axl is Guns n Roses.

You're a fool. Axl Rose was part of Guns. Slash would have found something sooner or later, had he not stumbled upon Izzy and Axl.

They were all part of what made Gn'R so great. Shit, even Steven Adler added a large part, just with Drumming alone.
