Jason should be judged on his own merits. I find it unfair to compare. Bonzo was an amazing drummer, no question. Jason is too, in his own right.

If this works heres a picture of me and my 1 year old grandson Izaiah he was born on xmas day 2006.
He already owns a couple of Zep shirts and is set to one day inherit most of my Zep stuff.
Lovely photo Al..Izaiah (great name!) is adorable..and what cute curls

Just because I'm a Zeppelin fan it doesn't mean heavier music is the only kind I like. Not to mention, at least one third of their catalog is acoustic. That said, I was never the biggest fan of the Cars but I don't hate them either. Back when they first came out a lot of the edgier type bands coming out of the New Wave scene didn't stand a chance on commercial radio but the Cars did. At the time their sound was very refreshing and very different from the norm. Unfortunately Classic Rock Radio has played their songs into the ground, causing many folks to never give them a fair chance. Despite the fact they released several albums, Classic Rock Radio pretty much only sticks to the first two.
Good comment. Even though Mutt Lange gave them a more beefy, boppy sound, Heartbeat City still has some great tracks. I love Magic.

Ok, I best whisper this.... Def Leppard/Whitesnake at Sheffield in June. I know I said in the other thread about Def Leppard not appealing to me anymore, blah, blah but I really want to see Whitesnake and I've come over all nostalgic..it's 20 years this year since I saw DL at Sheffield City Hall..and I do have some great memories of their music and what it meaned to me when I was a young lass...so, I got my ticket as an early birthday gift

Maybe a bit light for this forums taste, but any other fans? I have been re-visiting Candy-0 today whilst motoring around...personally, I think it's their best but also love the debut through to Heartbeat City. They never reached the dizzy heights of great success in the UK. I'd like to ask our American buddies...were they huge in their native country?

Ah, the mighty Thin Lizzy. Always on my list of essential listens.
No matter what has been said about Live and Dangerous not entirely been the genuine article..it remains one of my favourite "live" albums. Phils legendary "Is there anyone here with any Irish in them.." line is a classic. Soooo rock n roll..always brings a smile to my face

The Who May 2007 Fantastic gig and setlist...was wishing maybe, against all odds, we would have got Slip Kid as it is a favourite of mine but I know it's long been abandoned live..alas, we didn't, but The Seeker and Sparks made up for its no show.

Isn't it Amazing Journey? In any case I recently saw it on VH1 and while I enjoyed it quite a bit myself since it tells the entire story of The Who, the viewer is never allowed the luxury of hearing a song from beginning to end throughout the entire movie. In that regard, The Kids Are Alright still gets my vote as the best Who doc ever made, then again I haven't seen all of them that are out there.
Yeah, sorry it's Amazing Journey...I was being distracted What I like about it is the honesty/ laid bare approach which comes across in the interviews.
