  3. I went to Quiznos, got a regular Baja Chicken sub without onions or cialtro and extra Chipotle sause .... DELICIOUS I go there quite alot, never gets old. Its the simple things right
  4. I saw the Skyrnrd Concert last night and it was AWESOME!. I wish Billy was there, i bet it would of been better. Who's the guy replacing him for now? Also, there is this lady that has guitar lessons right after me in which I speak too sometimes, when she saw me wearing a Skynyrd shirt, she told me that she was the cousin if Billy, i thought that was cool. Anyway, I hope Billy gets better.
  5. You know, I used to hate Kid Rock, but know Im really liking his music. Its very southern sounding and bluesy, im soo glad he moved away from the rap rock crapola. SKYNYRD SHOW IN A WEEK
  6. It had do do with the South, in the video he says this song came from the deep south of America.
  7. Is the song "In My time of Dying" by Led Zep a cover or what? because on the live dvd, Robert states that this song came from the deep south of America. It may not be a cover, but it could be one of those songs that there were many artists that did their versions and had no true original artist to claim rights to the song, kind of like "Black Betty".
  8. One thing I have noticed about all muscicians and band members is the way they die. Ive noticed that a very high percent of them die from plane crashes, drugs, and suicide. Now, most of the original Skynyrd crew died from the plane crash. Has anyone else noticed this also?
  9. I just received Second Helping for my birthday today, ITS AWESOME!!
  10. I would of done many things to see a show from the original Skynyrd. I hope those memories are still there. I am still lookin forward to the Lexington show though.
  11. I know what you mean bye "its not the southern rock I like" Ive said this before, I guess people of today think of country when they hear southern rock, but I guess ill guess ill have to start saying Southern blues rock. I dont like country music, and I hate that "modern" southern rock is labeled that way.
  12. The image of the band, and the confederate flag and all
  13. Id have to give that one a big no-no. Country is not rock, there is country rock, but country is not rock. Southern rock from the 70's is basically blues-rock with a southern swagger and a TINGE of country. The Allmans were all blues-rock, Skynyrd had a little country in them, ZZ top also all blues-rock. Sure there were some southern rock artists that had alot more country in them like Charlie Daniels and the Kentucky Headhunters which kinda swung both sides, they were country, yet they had some blues/rock in them, and were from the south. Im kinda an "afficianado" of this subject
  14. Im more in to the blues Skynyrd which is pretty much the old skynyrd, the new skynyrd's songs and stuff are more country, escpecially with Van Zant goin on, im not a country fan, but i liek the Blues, and i do enjoy the little bit of country in some of their original albums.
  15. Same here, Im goin to see the post crash Skynyrd, but I wouldnt buy their albums, i just go to see Gary and Billy and enjoy the pre crash music.
  16. Any other Southern/ Skynyrd junkies on here??? Im goin to the Skynyrd concert on May 30th in my hometown of Lexington, KY, and ITS GONNA BE SWEET. The only thing that could be better is if Ronnie and the rest of the gang where there =( R.I.P Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins, Leon Wilkenson, Steve Gains
