  4. Screw that. They were as good as anything out at the time, along with those other groups i've mentioned. What may have hurt them is pop type groups like Blink 182, Sloane and Lit. People just can't get away from that three minute attention span.
  5. Thanks and thanks for the heads up. I know he's bigger in Canada than the US, but i'm fortunate to get Canadian stations so i'll be listening.
  6. why don't we do it in the road? - Beatles
  7. I like these guys alot. I think they sound very Zeppelinesque, especially the song "The Oaf" Too bad they broke up after only two albums, but lead vocalist Ian Thornley did release a record with his new band a couple of years ago. Haven't heard much since. Two other groups I like from the same era are Tantric and Days of the New. Oh yea, and Tea Party. Awesome groups.
  8. American Woman - Guess Who (not effin' Lenny Kravitz)
  9. Walking in Memphis - Marc Cohn
  10. Purple People Eater - Sheb Wooley
  11. Stray Cat Strut - Stray Cats (meow!)
  12. Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult (I need more cowbell!)
  13. I had a tough time with this, but in the end it was TSRTS over The Rain Song. In the end, it was the pure energy at the start and Jimmy's guitar that sold me. Not to discount TRS. Imo, it's every bit as good, or even better, that STH.
  14. Only the Lonely - Roy Orbison
  15. Broken Arrow - Buffalo Springfield (Neil Young)
