  1. Even though I started this Great and Popular topic of Led Zeppelin or Related on YouTube 2 years ago (minus 1 day) this is my first time to actually try and post a song or video. Please forgive me if I do not succeed.

This is a short interview with Rob Halford conducted by Martha Quinn at Live Aid. 1985. Rob mentions Judas Priest opening up for Led Zeppelin in San Francisco 1977 for the "infamous" 'Day on the Green' concert. "the Last Brawl".

Holy Shit! I think I finally discovered how to post actual videos to this very topic I started. If I did it right, I expect to post as many videos or songs of LED ZEPPELIN that I can.

By the way, 1,150 replies in less than 2 years is something that I am very proud to have started because this topic seems to bring out alot of songs/videos that the average Led Zeppelin fan would probably never hear and appreciate. Thanks to everyone who has contributed, including myself.

  2. I love the Music and Legacy of the WHO, the original WHO. Even when Moonie unfortunately died and they replaced him with Kenny Jones. "Eminence Front" is one of my favorite WHO songs. However, in this day and age, I cannot and will not accept the WHO as just Pete and Roger. When 2 of the original members carry on with 4 other musicians in the background (bass, drums, keyboards and rhythm guitar) I absolutely do not think it is even close to the same, despite the name.

    Just my opinion.

  3. This may or may not have already been asked on this thread, however, I am going to ask anyway.

We all know that our John Bonham died on September 24/25, 1980 in Jimmy Page's Winsdor home. I have read that at that time that Bonzo actually died in the back seat of a moving vehicle (car). This is what I would actually consider a real mystery. How and why would there be reports of Bonzo dying in the back seat of a car when the "official" explanation was that he died in a bed in Jimmy's residence. If he really did die in a car, how and why would "they" place his death at Jimmy's house?

  4. And if you admit it you're a FOOL!

What makes you think Gays don't do it!?

I do not want to get into a banter with you on this subject in this topic, but I think that Gays (as you say) would rather pleasure themselves to pictures or videos of other men, not a video of a beautiful woman like Phoebe Cates taking off her bikini top coming out of a swimming pool.

Call me a FOOL if that makes you feel better, however, only I know if I am a fool or a wise man.

By the way, I sense you may be one of the "gays" that you are referring too (I said homosexual). That is cool. You like men. I have no problem with that. I Love Women. "To Each His Own".

Now who is the FOOL? YOU reggie29.

  5. ...and apparently Fast Times at Ridgemont High which, by your own admission, you love to spank it to:

Yes I said that. I am not embarassed to say so. And if you never did that yourself you are either a Liar or a Homosexual, or Both.

  6. Watching the two of you go at it reminds me of a scene from South Park.

I have no idea what you mean because I do not watch cartoons. I watch shows that I can learn and absorb information from. History, documentaries, biographies, etc... I stopped watching cartoons when I was about 9 years old. I guess you never grew up and out of that phase judging by alot of the comments you make.

Although I really do not know what the hell snakesandspiders is 'jabberwocking' about, I do give him some credit because he seems to have strongs beliefs about some things (among some is that Rudy Guiliani is a terrorist and so is the FBI, etc...). And let's not forget about the U.S.A's. great and (forgotten) cultural icon, Grace Slick.

All you, electrophile, seem to have are snide and reprehensible comments. Is it any wonder that you and your posts seem to be dismissed by alot of other people besides me? I say that instead of going on the offensive (attacking) you should go on the defensive (defending). Back up and defend what you say instead of leaving posts and smart-ass replies and then retreating into your little corner.

If you notice I have a little over 500 Posts. You have over 8,600 posts. I would bet my life that over 3/4ths (6,450) of your posts are of the same ignorant ilk.

  7. I read somewhere that back when "Fast Times" was released on VHS that after a few years (or whatever) that the (in)famous scene of Phoebe Cates coming out of the pool and taking her top off was rewound so much that it literally screwed up thousand of videotapes. Of course that being because alot of young adolescents and even adult males kept rewinding the tapes to Jack Off to the incredible Breasts and Beauty of Phoebe. I, personally, am guilty of such pleasure. What American heterosexual male isn't?

  8. Yes, I said those words.....and I WILL REPEAT THEM AGAIN if necessary...be sure about THAT!!!:):) You just don't get it do ya??!!:):). Let's put it this way...I'll try to explain like I do grammar to my ESOL children in the langUage school I work in......I LOVE AMERICA, I LOVE OUR WESTERN SYSTEM OF LIVING.......having said that, I DO NOT LOVE BEING A YESMAN......if America or Australia (my BELOVED country!!) tells me to go fight a war I do NOT respect because there is no proof of it being a JUST war, then I WILL not go and fight....if your country tells you to put yer head into an oven and turn the swtch to 300 °C, would you do it?? I KNOW I WOULDN'T unless it was a JUST thing to do :).

If I love my country, that doesn't mean that if a govt. DOES wrong or EVIL things under my very nose and tries to cover things up (ref. 9/11, Nam war, the oil spills in the gulf, Watergate, the Gordon scandal [in Australia]), etc. I will defend it just because it's my country....on the contrary, it is MY DUTY AS A CITIZEN OF MY COUNTRY to unveil and INFORM people abouit what's REALLY going on in govts. I don't know if your American, but I wonder why many Americans don't get this yesman thing I'm saying despite the glorious American Revolution in which a band of TRUE PATRIOTS got rid of the evils of an oppressing Empire.....WITH ALL MEANS AND AGAINST ALL THE ODDS:):)!!!! Going against the wrongs of one's own country doies NOT mean not being a patriot......musically and socially speaking, bands like Jefferson Airplane (note the name JEFFERSON....ring any patriotic bells???!)...and Grateful Dead were the most American bands out there.....Grace Slick loved America and often sang wrapped in the American flag...BUT she and JA NEVER hesitated to sing AGAINST the war in Nam and against Nixon and the White House......GET IT NOW DUDE???!:):)

To tell you the Truth, I always got it because of MY OWN convictions and beliefs, not because of all the mumbo jumbo you just typed, which I may say, is the most rambling and what I can pick up is almost akin to complete jibberish.

However, I just read your post/reply 2 times because when I read it the 1st time, I was very confused about what you are saying, the 2nd time was because it never made any sense to me the 1st time.

Are you that privy to, "it is MY DUTY AS A CITIZEN OF MY COUNTRY to unveil and INFORM people abouit what's REALLY going on in govts." Please tell "US" how you are so privileged to know what's "really going on in govts." That quote and (for that matter) your whole post makes absolutely no sense to me.

By the way, who the fuck really cares anything about Grace Slick and her Anti-War stance and songs?

  9. Unfortunately, the U.S.A. is highly exposed to all kinds of terrorism from everywhere and while the U.S.A. did do many things wrong in time (ref the war in Nam), it CANNOT be accused of all the evils in the world....let's remember that if the U.S.A didn't get into WWII, we might all be speaking German or Italian or Japanese now....that IS FACT:):):)

    THANX AMERICA:):)

This post coming from the person that said that:

"I would add other names to that terrorist list:

    The past Bush administration

    The American Gun lobby

Giuliani and his band of Mafiosis

    The CIA

The FBI"... because "I'm SIMPLY saying that that list I provided is ON EXACTLY THE SAME LEVEL of any other terrorist list!!"

Just a reminder to you, snakesandspiders, the quotes I just listed are from YOUR own words. Now you are saying THANX AMERICA. Please clarify. Are these American Institutions you list "ON EXACTLY THE SAME LEVEL" of any other terrorist list or is America a Saviour to the Allies that otherwise may be speaking German, Italian or Japanese today? You seem to be a classic case of contradiction. In your opinion, is America closer to the terrorists or is America closer to Justice. I know what my answer is.

By the way, you never explained why you say why your list is "ON THE SAME LEVEL of any terrorist list." I am really curious as to why you would call Rudolph Giuliani a terrorist, and the others for that matter. Please explain, in detail, if you can.

  10. I think you are going off-topic. Suffice to say CB for Toy Soldiers was approved. They began relaxing their restrictions on the use of their music in films as the 90s rolled on. The only film I can think of that used their music without permission and got called out for it was Schooly D's track

'Signifying Rapper' (which sampled Kashmir) for a rape scene in the film the Bad Lieutenant. Led Zeppelin sucessfully sued Schooly D and the song was omitted from the soundtrack of the film and from subsequent releases of the film. You could say he got, erm, schooled.

I really do not want to get into a "fued" about all this but can you tell me who actually "approved" the use of "Communication Breakdown" in the movie, "Small Soldiers"? (Jimmy, Robert, Jonesy, Peter Grant?). And I really do not believe that I am going off-topic because I think this is related to the use of Led Zeppelin songs in any movie, starting with "Fast Times at Ridgemont High".

If "Led Zeppelin" really began relaxing the use of "their" music as the 90's rolled on, why is it that Jack Black had to literally "beg" LZ in front of a more than grateful audience to be able to use "Immigrant Song" in the movie, "School of Rock" which was produced in 2003 and featured in the "bonus" material on the dvd?

What about the movie, "Dazed and Confused". Other than the title there is not one Led Zeppelin song played or heard anywhere in this movie, circa 1993. I have read that the director, Richard Linklater sought permission to use one or more Led Zeppelin songs in this movie and he was turned down flat. How is that relaxing their musical restrictions some as the 90's rolled around and came and went?

By the way, "Bad Lieutenant" is an awesome movie. Harvey Keitel is just about up the in the acting "echelon" of Bobby D. and Big Al.

  11. It seems that someone at Swan Song allowed the use of the song.

    imdb.com/title/tt0083929/soundtrack

That is a fair assessment, however, do you think that Jimmy, Robert, John Paul or someone at Swan Song allowed the use of "Communication Breakdown" in the movie "Small Soldiers"? As far as I can recollect, "Communication Breakdown" is played in full in this movie when the Small Soldiers are at War with each other in a bedroom (or something like that). I will admit that I have never seen this whole movie in its entirety, but I am positive that Led Zeppelin's "Communication Breakdown" is played sometime in this movie.

Just because a Led Zeppelin song is played in a movie does that mean that it was actually "approved" by them? Does anyone really think that Page/Plant/Jones would give consent to one of their classic songs to be used in a movie that they probably have never heard of or even seen? Maybe, probably not.

  12. Hey anyone else a fan of this film? I can't believe it's been almost 30 years since it came out.

I thought some people might want to discuss this film written by a big Zeppelin fan. I believe this was the first film where Jimmy and Robert allowed one of thier songs to be included in the soundtrack.

I love the film, it always brings a smile to my face and good memories of "good times"

It seems that You and I have similiar tastes in t.v. shows and movies. (So far).

Of course Cameron Crowe was and is a big Led Zeppelin fan and protaganist for Led Zeppelin in his interviews and reviews of the Band's music. However, I do not think that Jimmy and Robert actually allowed "Kashmir" to be included in the movie. I believe that "Kashmir" was included in the movie because back in 1982, actual licensing of a bands songs or music was fairly new and not like it is today where movie studios have to have actual permission from the songwriters to include their songs in movies (or video games) and pay out royalties to said artists. "Kashmir" is only played in the movie for about 5 - 10 seconds when Rat and Stacy go out on their first date. It was not a song that was included on the actual soundtrack.

Enough of the semantics. I could be wrong.

  13. I would add other names to that terrorist list:

    The past Bush administration

    The American Gun lobby

    Ghaddafi and his govt.

The armies of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria

    The CIA

    The FBI

    ....................and many, MANY others :):):):)

I thought I would stay out of this topic/debate. I said what I believe to some and and they chose to ignore my points I was making and just replied back with snide and ignorant comments. However, I had to reply back to the above post which I feel is just completely stupid. Point for point:

The past Bush administration: complete and utter nonesense. A deliberate and devastating attack on 9/11/2001 was brought to the United States of America. In order to counter-attack, the U.S.A declared a "war on terror". Terror of all kinds that hopes and wishes to kill innocent people of America and other countries around the world.

The American Gun lobby: Citizens of the United States have a Constitionally guaranteed "right to bear arms".

Ghaddafi and his govt: Yes. Terrorists.

The armies of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria: Probably. But do these countries really have Armed Forces that are a real threat? Maybe a threat to their neighbors but a real threat to any other country that would and could decimate their armies in a real and prolonged battle? I would even say that the French armed forces could take on (and win) against these countries you named.

Giuliani and his band of Mafiosis: Again, simply ridiculous. Rudolph Giuliani was a federal prosecutor in New York City who cracked down on the mafia and organized crime (and put alot of mafiosi in prison) in NYC before he became Mayor of the City.

The CIA: If it were not for the CIA (and the Navy SEALs) Osama bin Laden would still be alive right now holed up in his shitty-looking 1 million dollar compound. He is dead as a result of a lot of hard work done by employees of the CIA.

The FBI: the FBI is an internal national police organization that investigates crimes and terrorist plots (among others) in the United States. If it were not for the FBI, there may have been several other terrorists attacks in the United States since 9/11.

I realize that some will disregard or simply dismiss what I have just typed. I could go into greater detail, however, I think what I said is enough for most level-headed people to comprehend. Some people (both domestic and foreign) already believe what they want to believe about the United States of America as a Country and a World Power. I don't care if you Love the U.S.A. or Hate the U.S.A., because I LOVE the United States of America and Nobody will Ever make me (whatever you/they say) change my thoughts, feelings or emotions for the Country where I was born.

  14. I know most of you don't care (and I don't really either), I just had to say that I think it is somewhat amusing to sit back and read alot of these replies now and not really be a part of it anymore. (Remember, I just said,'not really'). I said what I said to a couple of people related to this topic and I will always stand by what I say and think. I have noticed that two of them have not posted back to what others have replied to them recently. When they replied back to me they completely ignored or disregarded what I wrote and happened to just reply back with snide, snarky or just plain ignorant comments. (They know who they are, ((ep & am))).

I happened to listen to one "higher authority" (Sam) who said, "Not directing this to anyone in particular, but could we please relax with all the fighting".

And by, the way, I have not been removed by any "higher authority", be it Sam or God or whoever that person meant. I am still around, both literally, figuratively and physically. Thank You Sam and God or whoever else I was supposed to be removed by.

However, I am alway up for a good debate. Just because anyone may not agree with me does not make me wrong (or right). I can take anything that comes my way. + or -.

LONG LIVE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!

  15. You go to far fella. Learn to communicate on a respectful level or you will be removed by a higher authority.

Hey fella. I may go too far but it is because I have strong convictions (and I stand by all of them).

I proudly say what I think, feel and mean, Just because you or anyone else does not agree with what I say, that is not my problem. After all, this is a "forum".

The definition of forum is: "A meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged".

Does that comprehend with you, fella?

And, by the way, I have no idea what you mean by I "will be removed by a higher authority". If you mean that I am going to be killed by God for posting my convictions, than I think that you may need more help than YOU think that I do.

As usual, I am ready and eager to read what you and others may say or think about my comments. Say what you will and disparage me and try to denigrate me. Yours are only words from "anonymous" people, that I do not know and do not care to meet.

  16. Thank You Conneyfogle for these two concerts. I had the Led Zeppelin 1973 Kezar show on a 2 lp set back in the late 1980's titled, "Persistence". I let a friend borrow it and did not get it back because I moved out of state. I haven't heard this concert since way back then. The audio quality of this show is phenonemal.

I laughed real loud at 1:33:15 after "Dazed and Confused" and before "Stairway to Heaven".

Robert Plant says, " I don't believe that somebody's had the audacity to give me a 5 cent piece that isn't even nickel". I think that is funny as hell.

By the way, I also really appreciate all of the other full Led Zeppelin concerts you have uploaded on YouTube's Led Zeppelin Radio. If you have more, I would really love to hear them especially the full live concerts I have never had the pleasure to hear. Thanks again!!!

  17. And let's face it, that particular poster caused major problems with all 25. ;)

If it was fast and frantic, they wouldn't have been hanging around taking dozens of pictures, would they?

Are you fucking stupid and ignorant?

The aim of the mission was to find, capture and/or kill Osama bin Laden. Found him, he resisted capture and "WE" killed him.

The second aim (in my opinion) was to positively and absolutely identify this dead terrorist as bin Laden. I think the Navy Seals would have hung around long enough to get confirmation from both D.C. and Langley (CIA). Remember, all this was happening and being relayed back and forth in "real-time". How long do you think it would take for them to take dozens of pictures of a dead bin Laden with an ultra high-tech, above state-of-the-art digital Navy Seals camera? My guess would be no more than a minute or two (IF that). After all, they were not taking pictures with a fucking Polaroid camera.

I think that you should look in the mirror before criticizing other members who You say seem to cause problems for others. I seem to think that You and a couple of others (electrophile, knebby and jahfin) are the ones causing or starting shit with alot of us. If all of you can dish it out, I assume you can take it. I am positive that alot of others would agree with me.

Let me say that I realize I could be completely wrong with what I think. However, I do read alot and most of what I typed was from different newspapers and various new organizations along with my own thoughts, opinions and interjections.

  18. Of course, with this being the "digital" and "information" age, most of us knew that fake photos of Osama bin Laden's dead body were going to surface. I would tend to think that these photos are fake.

The green photo with the Navy Seal in it looks "real" but then again, who knows? One of my doubts about the green photo (if it is real) is that it is/was taken from a somewhat side angle. I would think that whoever did take the "real" pictures that were transmitted back to Langley and Washington would have taken a straight "dead on" (pun intended) picture of bin Laden. What I mean is that whoever took the picture that was the "confirmation" that "WE" killed bin Laden would have taken a picture standing directly above bin Laden looking down at him. Just him and not a profile of a fellow Navy Seal. Of course, I realize that there were probably dozens of pictures taken of the dead bin laden in the fast and frantic aftermath.

Hopefully one day soon, the "official" photos of a dead Osama bin Laden will be released to the whole world. If Al-Qaeda can release videos of them chopping off the heads of innocent Americans (and others), then We should release pictures of a very dead bin Laden with the warning that there is no escape from American Justice.

  19. AUSTRALIA!

Per capita we give as much. if not more than the USA.

The difference is we don't brag about it.

That is why IMO, mine is the greatest country on the planet.

    Argue with that!

I don't know how true your per capita statement is (and don't really believe it), but isn't about 75% (+ or -) of Australia basically just no man's land. The Outback? All your main cities are all on the coasts of various oceans.

Is Australia helping the the citizens of Tuscaloosa, Alabama (U.S.A) which was recently hit with a series of powerful tornadoes? Maybe your country is helping, I don't know, I don't live there? What about Hurricane Katrina when it hit New Orleans back in 2005. Did your country and government give any assistance?

About bragging. The United States of America itself is not bragging about all the things I mentioned about helping out other countries in times of crisis. If anything, I (me) and bragging about it (and not really bragging), more like saying and being Proud that my country helps out all over the world.

I am just giving facts along with my opinions. Is that arguement enough, even though I am not argueing with you.

Edited to say: I am glad that you happen to love your country. You should.

  20. So I'll ask you again - have you travelled very much?

PS - sorry didn't answer you - yeah I'm English.

After all I just said, that is Still the only question you can ask me? I take that as a very lame excuse to disregard everything I just pointed out to you (and anyone else) who cares to read what I typed.

Did what I just point out not make any sense to you? Or are you another one who disregards all the Good that the United States does for alot of the world? If that is all you can say, then, I guess I have to assume that I am correct.

Ask your parents or Grand-Parents how much the United States of America means to them and I am sure that They would never "put-down" the role that the Americans played in their (and Yours) survival.

To answer your very lame question, I have never travelled abroad. Maybe some day, but why would I want to do that when there are so many places I would rather visit in the United States.

Don't get me wrong, I highly respect Great Britian. If it were not for the English, there would be no Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc...

Let me say that I (somewhat) respect you because you are and do not seem as Ignorant as some others on this forum. However, I still and always will stand by my statement that the United States of America is and will always be the Greatest Country on the Planet.

If you still want to "debate" me on this I will do so some other time. I am still eager to read what the other people I replied too have to say and probably make my day and make me laugh all day.

Maybe this will apease you. LONG LIVE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE MIGHTY LED ZEPPELIN...

  21. I can't say mate as I haven't been to them all - that's my point really. How can you say that it's a fact that the USA is the best country on the planet and always will be? What evidence do you base that fact on? You love your country - yeah that's fine. But giving it "Best on the Planet" status is another thing altogether.

I said this before and I will say it again. Whenever there is a natural or man-made disaster almost anywhere in the world, what country spends millions, if not billions, of dollars to send aid or relief to help out whatever country has been affected? Not just U.S. dollars, but United States Humanitarian aid and military assistance? Is that evidence and proof enough for you? That is the fact that I base that on! Japan, Indonesia, Iran, Haiti, Mexico, Bali, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Greece and dozens of other countries around the Planet. Some may say that they do not want the United States of America to be the Policemen of the World, but where would those same people be if the United States of America was not the Humanitarians of the World? I think that should satisfy the answer you requested. If not, I can and will give you further proof.

I gather you are from England (Albion)? Am I correct? If you are, then another fact I can base this on is the fact that You very well could be a German "Subject" if it were not for the assistance of the United States of America. I don't know about you but I read alot about history and the U.S.A. had a lend/lease policy with Britain back in the early days of WWII. Without that, Great Britian was in poor shape. So, again, this IS ONE OF THE REASONS THAT I SAY THAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WAS AND IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY ON THE PLANET.

  22. No it isn't.

    Travelled much, have you?

Out of my three paragraphs you picked out that line and say, "No it isn't"? And not even elaborate on why? I really don't care who you are or where you are from, however, I am curious as to know what country is the best on the Planet. Again, not that your answer means anything to me, but what is?

  23. I think it's adorable that you think I not only hate the United States (if I did, I wouldn't still be living here) and that I'm upset that Navy SEALs killed Bin Laden (which I never said, nor inferred in even a minute way).

You confuse criticism for hate. You need to work on that. It's patriotic to criticize your country. It's patriotic to want better things for your country. It's patriotic to DEMAND better things from your country. I don't hate the United States, if I did, I wouldn't still be living here. I'd have moved years ago. The fact that I still live here, still pay taxes here, still work here, still do everything here, pretty much negates the "you hate this country" garbage you seem to think is true. Furthermore, I'd love to see you point out to me using my exact words where I said I'm upset that Bin Laden was killed by American military forces. You're going to have a hard time of it because it didn't happen. What I said was while killing Bin Laden was a good thing, it's not the end of Al-Qaeda, nor the end of terrorism, and that we as a country should worry about possible retaliatory strikes. I don't know how you got "I'm upset Bin Laden was killed" from that, but I'd love to see you try.

You're disgusting and reprehensible. That's not based on your political ideology, but on your continued harassment campaign to slur me and insult me, with ZERO proof of anything you're saying. You've insulted my parents, you've accused me of bigamy (which is illegal, BTW)......WTF is wrong with you? Is there no low to which you will not stoop? Do me and everyone else on this board a favor and put me on your ignore list so you never have to worry about reading anything I say; maybe that will get to you leave me the fuck alone.

Why would I want to put you on my ignore list? I actually like it when you reply back to my posts. I consider most of your replies as pure entertainment. Some of them are funny as hell. I like to think that I have a wonderful sense of humor and alot of what you type makes me laugh out loud.

This is where you and I really differ. You say that it is "patriotic to criticize your country". I say it is patriotic to "Love" your country in good times and bad and not "criticize" it. Criticize the government if you wish, not your Country. The United States of America itself as a Country, World Power and "institution" is vastly different then the current government or "administration" that happens to be in Power at the time. The U.S.A. will be around and be the Best Country on the Planet long after you and I are long gone. That is a fact. What is also a fact is that U.S. administrations change every 4 or 8 years. I happen to Love and Honor the United States of America no matter what political power is in charge (Republican or Democrat). Even if I would not agree with a certain party or their decisions, I would not "criticize" them, I would "question" them. Two totally different logics.

Not that it matters to you or anyone else, however, I happen to read two newspapers a day. I buy and read the USA Today and the Dallas Morning News. So as much as you may think that I talk to sidewalks and listen to Satan, in fact, I read the papers and listen to Led Zeppelin. And, by the way, my favorite colors are Red, White and Blue.

  24. The dude is cracked. He thinks I'm married to people here because we live in the same state and joined this message board on the same date. He ain't playing with a full deck. Treat him like you would that crazy person at the bus stop who talks to cracks in the sidewalk because he thinks Satan is communicating with him.

Is that the best you got? I am cracked and talks to cracks on the sidewalks of bus stops because Satan is communicating with me? Where the Fuck do you get that from? That is probably the MOST ridiculous retort I have ever read.

I think that is your so called defense mechanism talking because I have called you out on a number of issues. Some, I have noticed that you failed to reply too. Just because you happen to "dislike" your own country (from words that You have posted) and seem to be upset that Osama bin Laden was killed by Americans. If that is not American Justice, I do not know what is.

  25. I'm tired of bleeding heart liberals bleating about the necessity of abandoning our national security strategy and foreign policy for the sake of committing all available resources to social welfare programs.

Don't get me started on the fact that U.S. defense spending is at it's lowest percentage of the gross domestic product (GDP) in over 40 years. Additionally, the 1.4% pay raise military members received for 2011 is less than the 2010 rate of inflation (1.63%) or in other words a pay cut.

To understand why U.S. forces are in Korea why not read a book about the Korean War which has yet to end? There are also many books in print examining the U.S/Japan strategic alliance. Germany is a forward deployment hub for U.S. forces in the

    middle east and Africa.

Billions of dollars on aircraft and weaponry that never gets used and never flies? You don't know what you are talking about

but you've got no problem spending money on people who won't work and seek only to use and abuse the welfare system.

I may not alway agree with you, StevenAJones about other matters, however, I completely agree with you on your above post. I had a feeling people like electrophile (and others) put down and seem to really "dislike" the United States of America for some reason. If anyone happened to read my post (#253) I said that maybe they harbor hatred toward the U.S.A. because the government happened to cut-off their welfare and food stamp benefits. I agree, why give people thousands and thousands of dollars to buy groceries if these same people are fully capable of finding some kind of employment but continually refuse to do so. For that matter, I am all for drug-testing anyone who receives such benefits. I Love MY country and most of my fellow Americans, but come on, enough is enough.
