The two Japanese SBD's 28 & 29th Sept 1971 probably blew me away more than any other releases EVER!

Thinking of placing an order from Disc Japan this week but I'm wondering what the shipping delay will be. Their orders usually arrive pretty fast.
They come from Singapore....
Here in The UK:-
Ordered 15th
Shipped 17th
Arrived 21st
Standard Post, ie. Not expedited!

Tomorrow I will upload some FLAC files for those who would prefer that option.
To further elaborate, I don't use FLAC very much because my iTunes (which is the main way I listen to music) cannot play FLAC or WAV files, so it's always MP3 for me. That's why FLAC didn't even really cross my mind to provide initially. It's just not on my radar much.
Am I correct in assuming most people here use FLAC to burn to CD?
Are you still ineding to post the FLAC files? 😛

I’ve just never mixed with FLAC because it takes up more space on my computer, and I was always expected to turn in audio projects in college as 256 MP3s. Sorry...
Glad you’re all enjoying it though!
OK, Thanks for this anyway!

Very Kind but why post Lossy MP3's & not FLAC?????

Still no sign of it! I wonder if this release is just a massive Hoax by EVSD as payback to all the people that downloaded the next night!

Bath 1970 or Seattle 19/06/72. PERIOD!
-
The last two Discs are identical as the 2CD version & identical to The Night Owl D/L version!

Seemingly the folks from Empress Valley are planning to cash in on Night Owl's Labour of Love. I hope they're giving him at least the credits
My 6CD version Came Today! Unfortunately as expected EVSD have not credited Night Owl. No mention whatsoever!

Sorry, I made a mistake.....
It was $118 / £96

Yep, Bloody Hell indeed...but IMHO you don't need the 6CD. It's a rehash of a previous (2010) 'Duophonic release on EV. pus Night Owl's job on two extra cd's. Seemed like a good idea to present the old Blimp/TMOQ mono tape together with the more recent stereo sources, but that Duophonic version was downright irritating...too much switching between different sources😡
I've settled for the 2CD incarnation ' BB Hill stereo Matrix' (which is of course NightOwl's only).
I'm waiting for it still. I The first two discs are the famous TMoQ/Blimp source. The third and fourth disc collects so called third audience source, which was recently issued by the Golden Eggs earlier this year. The fifth and sixth disc reissues newly relased source matrix.
I have:-
The Original Cobla, The Eat a Peach & The Graf Zeppelin
So other than the TMoQ/Blimp source, (Which is NOT the whole recording), which appears on the Graf, the recordings on the New 6CD set are not duplicated on the ones I have plus I have the bonus of the new Matrix on CD in a very nice set!!

About Achilles Last Stand... I remember reading that back in 77, JPJ and J.Bonham were really not sure Jimmy Page would be able to play that one live, if there was already a doubt back then, I guess it may explain why it wasn't played at the O2.
P&P did play it in Atlanta in 1995!

And EV has the cheek to put a "If this gets shared (torrented) then it may endanger future releases' disclaimer on their most recent releases. When they themselves take fan work and press it themselves. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they spend a lot of money getting new sources like Japan '71 etc and that's great because it's only them that's releasing them, but they can't have it both ways.
Wholeheartedly agree!
P.S. I've just bought the new 6cd Box from EV. Had to have this new Matrix on CD!

Night Owl hands down!

This is neat. I would be happy with some various snippets of 8mm/16mm films even if incomplete. We have to hope the band had their friends/roadies/Peter Grant shoot little bits here and there in the first couple years.
When MTV has the special on Zeppelin ages ago and showed the clips of Seattle 1977, they also showed the close-up home movie footage of the 8/21/71- LA Forum concert which was really exciting to see back then. A documentary is the perfect place to throw in various incomplete snippets here and there in less that perfect quality to make it unique and feature material not found anywhere else. And if we happen to see larger chunks of footage of much rumored stuff like Central Park ‘69 or the Bath ‘70 footage then this will be well worth it.
I see Jimmy is making good on his word by giving us “surprises” for the 50th Anniversary.
History Lesson DVD (EVSD) is what you need!

I do however need a rundown on the Graf Zeppelin compared to the new A Sweeter Blueberry by Golden Eggs. Also there the 9CD Wendy Box to contend with as well. The plot thickens!

For Me the Winners are:-
1st Graf Zeppelin
2nd Eat A Peach
3rd Cobla/Cobra
I have all three, so I feel I'm in a position to accurately compare!

Jimmy takes risks by playing on the edge but it adds to the excitement. It's so good when compared to Eric Clapton's technical prowess. The later lacks any spontaneity & quickly becomes same old!

Is it the same as "1970.09.04 LA Forum 'A Sweeter Blueberry'" - 48Khz?
If not, Can anyone give me a link please?

No matter what you think, Robert Plant owes you nothing. I imagine that you have already gotten years of pleasure listening to him sing. All things must pass. It's a good thing to learn how to accept this painful truth gracefully...
I wholeheartedly agree!

I have been listening to Led Zeppelin for 45 years and I have 35 years listening to all the live stuff I could get my hands on. So, whether you like my opinion or not it is at the very least informed. I will take Zeppelin from any year or a Page and Plant show before I go to the 02 for listening pleasure.
Your loss!
