Jimmy's A Legend
OK I've been collecting Creem for a bit and on some of my copies there is the price for the magazine in $ but on others there is a price in pence! So does this mean that Creem was available in Briton aswell as America? Thanks

longdistancewinner
Well, if it had been sold in pence, then logic would tell you that it had been sold in Britain. I have the Creem hardback, which has lots of old shizzle from the magazine. That's pretty good. Think it's safe to say, however, that it wasn't particularly popular/common here. It was a very American-orientated magazine - specifically Detroit-based - so a lot of the bands featured were local bands, and, as a consequence, weren't that well-known in Britain. It would've had a market here, but it would've been very specific. It definately wasn't like Rolling Stone or NME.
