Situated in Guildford, Surrey, the Genesis Reading Rooms will be a place for local residents and for those visiting London from abroad.

"For the first time Genesis Publications is inviting readers to visit its publishing house for a series of free events and exhibits.

Catherine Roylance: "Even though we take great pains to keep in touch with our international client base, it's not been possible to make ourselves known locally before. That's why we're creating the Genesis Reading Rooms, which will change all that. We're opening a newly-styled library and three exhibition spaces, which will form the backdrop for an exclusive programme of events, exhibits, talks and author signings throughout 2011."

Founded in 1974, Genesis has been creating rare limited edition books with a line of highly acclaimed authors for more than 35 years. Artists and contributors include musicians such as George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Jimmy Page and The Who; visual artists like Sir Peter Blake and Storm Thorgerson; sporting heroes such as Sir Jackie Stewart and Liverpool FC; and even Hollywood icons, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.
