The Pagemeister Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 (edited) Eminem, Arcade Fire and Buffalo Springfield Among Top Acts at Bonnaroo By DAVE ITZKOFF Arcade Fire and Eminem accepting their prizes at the Grammy Awards on Sunday. If you enjoyed the musicians you saw on Sunday’s Grammy Awards show, you’ll see plenty of comfortingly familiar names on the lineup for this year’s Bonnaroo music and arts festival — and if you didn’t, well, you’ll still have lots of other acts to choose from. Eminem, the rejuvenated rapper who suddenly seems to be everywhere these days, will be among the headliners at this year’s festival, which runs from June 9 through 12 in Manchester, Tenn., its organizers said on Tuesday. And whether or not the Internet knows who they are, the Canadian indie rockers of Arcade Fire, who surprised some with their album of the year win for “The Suburbs,” are also at the top of the bill. Other top acts include the reconstituted Buffalo Springfield (featuring Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay, Rick Rosas and Joe Vitale); the roots rock bands Widespread Panic, My Morning Jacket and String Cheese Incident; the Grammy-anointed blues rockers the Black Keys; Mumford & Sons, which shared the Grammys stage with Bob Dylan; indie rock acts the Strokes and the Decemberists; and the never-not-interesting rapper Lil Wayne. The bill will also feature Dr. John and the Original Meters performing “Desitively Bonnaroo,” the 1974 album from which the festival takes its name; and the Global Gypsy Punk Revue, a special stage curated by Eugene Hütz, whose band Gogol Bordello is also performing at the festival. A list of Bonnaroo acts provided by the festival’s press representatives appears below: Eminem Arcade Fire Widespread Panic The Black Keys Buffalo Springfield My Morning Jacket Lil Wayne String Cheese Incident Robert Plant & Band of Joy Mumford & Sons The Strokes The Decemberists Ray Lamontagne Bassnectar Iron & Wine Girl Talk Primus Dr. John and The Original Meters performing Desitively Bonnaroo Alison Krauss & Union Station Pretty Lights Florence + the Machine SuperJam with Dan Auerbach and Dr. John Explosions in the Sky STS9 Gogol Bordello Beirut Big Boi Scissor Sisters Gregg Allman Ratatat Global Gypsy Punk Revue curated by Eugene Hütz Robyn Warren Haynes Band Deerhunter Opeth Atmosphere Old Crow Medicine Show Bootsy Collins & the Funk University Wiz Khalifa Matt & Kim Grace Potter & The Nocturnals The Del McCoury Band & the Preservation Hall Jazz Band Mavis Staples Béla Fleck and the Flecktones Chiddy Bang Jovanotti Bruce Hornsby Loretta Lynn Cold War Kids The Walkmen Devotchka Wanda Jackson Neon Trees Portugal.
