Ms. Malka, a native of Israel who moved to New York when she was 23, owneda vintage clothing store called Physical Graffiti (after the Led Zeppelin album) for 17 years in the same space.

She caters to her clientele with tisanes and “medicinal” herbal blends that she has become known for, and more commonly known fare like Earl Grey, English Breakfast and chai. (The shop opened in its present incarnation in June 2011.)
