timothy5151
I wasn't sure where to put this topic... but I came across a news article about an online date company (Data is Beautiful) that created an animation representing the last 50 years of record industry sales data from the Recording Industry Association of America, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry and record companies. It is interesting to watch. https://www.cbc.ca/radio/q/blog/fascinating-animated-timeline-of-bestselling-music-from-past-50-years-goes-viral-watch-1.5351855
rm2551
That was really cool to watch. The last decade or two has largely been a completely forgettable waste of time. But the '70's and '80's spawned music that will outlast us all. And to think I was never going to be that old bloke grumpily spewing "back in my day, the music...." oh well. 🤣 Edited November 10, 2019 by rm2551
EagleB
Great to watch (esp the rise of Zep early 70s) but no Stones or U2 is a mystery...
EagleB
My mistake the Stones do appear for 2 nano seconds in the early eighties.....
