Does anyone know why he specifically chose to incorporate it into the stage setup after being on the floor for many years beforehand? Zep Hed Posted November 1, 2022 Share Posted November 1, 2022 My take is it was part of the band expanding their showmanship on stage. The show presentation got more elaborate from 73 to 75 to 77. Stage effects, lights, sound, outfits. Ever evolving once they reached the point they could, in Peter Grant's words, "go to Saturn." The video we have give us some idea but based on accounts you hear and read from people who attended a show, it was some kinda spectacle that those of us who didn't could never truly appreciate.
