A student performance of the classic Led Zeppelin song Stairway to Heaven at a high school prizegiving has gone viral.

I hope Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones have seen this video and I'd love to know their thoughts. I was convincing myself it would be rubbish but the attention it was gathering made me view for myself. My preconceived ideas were quickly extinguished. The whole group done very well. But the young girl on vocals and guitar solo played beyond their years as did the young boy on the acoustic guitar at the start and the other guitarists. That these kids are probably only about sixteen years old - give or take a year is testament to their skill and dedication and that of their teachers. Well done! Especially to the two ladies who stole the show with a subtle but brilliant performance on vocals and guitar. Kia Kaha!
