Hang-man
Hey-up, Just seeing how time (like a Zeppelin) fly's. I caught site of this little piece of "INFO", & for those who were there, or just remember it.......This is for you. Winterland September 23rd marks the anniversary of the opening of the grand ballroom known as Winterland. An old ice skating rink, rock promoter Bill Graham converted it into a music venue in 1966. It housed legendary shows by Led Zeppelin, Joplin, the Doors, the Who, Rolling Stones, Cream, Pink Floyd, and Jimi Hendrix, among others. The Grateful Dead made Winterland their home base, playing the ballroom more than 50 times. The Sex Pistols played their last show there, and so did the Band on Thanksgiving, 1978 with “The Last Waltz,” which became a seminal concert film. Check out the historic Winterland memorabilia at Wolfgang’s Vault! I'm sure that you'll be able to find "Wolfgang's Vault!" on the net, it has some REALLY good Zep stuff, amongst others, that seem so insignificant in comparison.... Need i say More. All the best.
