marmorek
Shameless plug, but it is a free show ... To mark the 40th anniversary of the Beatles' famous last public performance, four other students and I are going to recreate the Apple Records concert at the UBC SUB. I'm going to be playing keys. Date: Friday, January 30, 2009 Time: 1:00pm Location: The UBC AMS Student Union Building 6138 SUB Boulevard, UBC Vancouver, BC http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=59657579044

marmorek
Well, we do have permission from the AMS to play there. Hopefully that'll be enough.

Jahfin
Wouldn't it be more fun and keeping with the context of the original concert to not have permission?

marmorek
Wassa joking. How long a set are you playing ? We're playing the songs that were played on the rooftop in the "Let It Be" film, plus an encore. Wouldn't it be more fun and keeping with the context of the original concert to not have permission? Yes, but bringing drums, amps, a keyboard, mics and a PA might seem kinda suspicious.
