  1. yea, the make up artist knew I sure as hell was drooling and wouldn't be able to get any words out, so she just started talking for me...hahaha. I have NO clue what i said at that point if anything....I don't remember any convo until I told them I would walk them out....he probably just thought I was a grinning idiot.. oh well!

You KNOW he had to love it ! :D

He's not shy !!! That's when you shoulda made a move though.....

"Oh Robert !! There's a mosquito on your back !!!!" SWAT !!!

  2. Wow !! You're just so lucky Ashley !! :)

The intimacy of your meeting, the very few around so you could get such attention is great ! And to see him undressing !! What a treat ... and the photo, the personal singing, the kisses on the cheek, betcha never wash your face anymore ! and running to get him latte....fun ! Wow !!!

I'd have been star struck to da max !

And your pic is just fantantic...you told so much more here...thanks so much from me and I'm sure for everyone else too for sharing your experience !

    Wonderful ! :)

  3. Joel

for a minute you had me thinking I was finally going to see what you look like. Im always curious. But I respect the privacy of those who would prefer not to . Some interesting posts tonight.

OH hell Rick...I've posted several of myself....they're here !

  4. Hard to say...but a top contender for me is the version from

    9-4-71, Toronto.

No one knew of the song yet...light cheering, quiet during the performance and it was sooooo fine !!! Theres' a decent soundboard of the song and a few more. The rest of the show, for the most part is available as a audience recording.

    * Ha ! I just noticed your from Toronto Roxie ! :D

  5. Since I didn't have any early Fleetwood Mac...but started in 1971 to get their stuff. I've been KLUless about most of the Peter Green era...cept for 'Oh Well'...so...this is a great one to get for that....so I did...just today !! 32 cuts from '68 and '69...UK import...

2007 two CD set from Peter Green's original line-up of Fleetwood Mac. Originally a British Blues band led by the talented fretmaestro Peter Green, this double disc set features tracks from their late '60s albums for Sony: Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, Mr. Wonderful and English Rose.

Ahhhhhh, those dudes were REALLy moons aheda of their time!!!

I think they actually WERE in there time...the sixties !! It's just they were head and shoulders above so many others in their musical prowess, wit and execution.

I'm listening to the first disc of this.....No Quarter. That and SIBLY are stellar versions !!

  7. Lets see...

    I've got...

Santana '68 Fillmore..or is it Winterland live gig ?

Live at the Texas Pop Festival Aug. '69

    Abraxas

III deluxe edition with the Fillmore West show of July '71

Live with Buddy Miles in Diamond Head Crater Jan. '72 (I was at that !)

    Caravanserai

    Welcome

I dig 'em all....and think Welcome is fairly well overlooked. Excellent transition record to me....

Saw his band again in Sept. of '74, also saw Santana in '92...the Milagro tour...it was pretty good. Just not as good as the late 60s - early 70s though.

I love how 'tense' he looked at his Woodstock '69 performance. He said he was doing Mescaline and just prayed he'd stay in tune !!!
