Of those choices, Ten Years Gone, though I love the lyrics to Tea For One, That's the Way, and Since I've Been Loving You as well.

Realizing tomorrow is Sunday and therefore Dunkin' iced coffee day with my sister. She comes over for lunch every Sunday, and afterward, we take a little drive and get some iced coffee. It's our thing. I don't see her as often as I'd like to, so I take whatever time with her I can get.

Seeing how the show "Skip and Shannon Undisputed" has turned into the Dallas Cowboys and Antonio Brown news cycle recently...
Skip Bayless has a bigger hard-on for the Cowboys than Jerry Jones probably has. In his mind, they can do no wrong. Dak Prescott could throw 10 interceptions and visibly shit himself on the 50-yard line, but he'd find a way to blame the opposing team for it. Or the stadium. Or whether Mercury was in retrograde. I don't know why Shannon Sharpe hasn't just snapped and slugged him by now.

I think that's simply more evidence of what the pandemic has demonstrated; most people are filthy, unhygienic pigs. I thought it hilarious and tragic that back in 2020, when the Big Nasty was first sweeping through the land, people had to be told to wash their hands, cover their mouths when they cough/sneeze, and don't crowd up on people when in standing in line.
I couldn't believe that grown adults had to be told to do those things.

Beautiful, but cold. Also, the roads are a little icy, so we're having to hold off running errands until later.

Clear and cold. Good weather for picking up WBBM on the radio. LOL

I think the New Yorker is a magazine circulating in the New York area . It might be online . An American friend sent the article to me in a pdf . That was enough to confuse me . Anyway the January edition has a lengthy article about Zep . Wasnt of much interest to me . But not as boring as the one commencing this discussion .
The New Yorker is a very well-known, very old publication that can be found all over the country.

Never understood why this was such a big deal back in the day. Why would anyone care if Robert said hell or high, or hula hoop or whatever. He could have said, "hey kiddos, sell your soul to satan, he's one hep cat man..." for all I cared. It's a song, by a band, not an ex-cathedra by the Pope.
The FBI opened an investigation into the lyrics of "Louie, Louie" by The Kingsmen because J. Edgar Hoover was bored and convinced it was hiding vulgarity, and there was nothing else going on in the mid-1960s that the FBI could have possibly spent time and manpower on. In other words, people get fixated on stupid shit because they've nothing better to do.

He thinks there are no significant songs on Presence? Ell oh ell. I'm all for reading other people's opinions on things because sometimes I learn something from them, but if you're going to be that ridiculous, I won't bother.

Of the songs on the list, Since I've Been Lovin' You, but I also love the ending of Achilles Last Stand, how that riff just keeps going as it fades away.

I actually vastly prefer No Quarter now. Interesting how time can change your tastes.

I like them both and don't really see the sense in comparing them. They both had different approaches to how they played their instrument. Jimi Hendrix would sound wrong performing Achilles Last Stand, and Jimmy Page would sound wrong performing Voodoo Child (Slight Return).

Simply Red - If You Don't Know Me By Now
Mariah Carey - Without You
Sarah Brightman - Whiter Shade Of Pale
Not sure why I stopped there. There are loads of fantastic cover songs, IMO.
All Along the Watchtower -- Jimi Hendrix (Bob Dylan)
With a Little Help From My Friends -- Joe Cocker (The Beatles)
Respect -- Aretha Franklin (Otis Redding)
Me and Bobby McGee -- Janis Joplin (Roger Miller)
Black Magic Woman -- Santana (Fleetwood Mac)
I Shall Be Released -- Joe Cocker (Bob Dylan)
Because the Night -- 10,000 Maniacs (Patti Smith)
Blinded By the Light -- Manfred Mann (Bruce Springsteen)
Hallelujah -- Jeff Buckley (Leonard Cohen)
I could probably go on for another 20 or so if I really thought about it.

Tom Brady losing. Call it schadenfreude if you wish, but if my Packers had to shit the bed, I'm glad the Bucs did too.

Gorgeous. That 56℉ tomorrow is going to feel downright summery!

Mayhem is the best. The best representative of the traffic here in tourist town!
Dean Winters is gorgeous, so I welcome Mr. Mayhem on my TV screen whenever he wishes to appear.

Today is my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and to celebrate, we're having pizza. Very exciting, I know, but they're not going out to a restaurant to celebrate. No way, no how.

I have a hard time deciding which tv commercials I dislike more. The ones for bentcarrot.com, or the Gronkowski ads for USAA aired during every NFL game. Do they think our veterans have a 6th grade education?
It's time for Liberty Mutual to stop advertising. All of their commercials are SO stupid and SO awful, I get a crick in my neck from cringing so hard whenever they're on. The whole LiMu Emu & Doug thing passed its sell-by date a long, long time ago.

Gorgeous, but bitterly, bitterly cold.

Yeah, some of his oversexed moments can be a bit much. Not enough to where I hate them or can't listen to the songs, but enough to where I'm like, "Okay, Bob. We get it. You're horny. Thanks for sharing."
