  1. I think that people collect things because it's a way of showing that you have some sort of control over something. If you can't own everything in the world, maybe having a collection will give you a sense of authority or ownership of a bit of the world. Does that make sense? I collect books, by the way. It takes up a lot of space, but it's OK. I haven't really gotten the appeal of ebooks yet. Must be the sentimentality of the real thing. Or sniffing the glue of the book bindings.
  2. I'm halfway through Neil Gaiman's "Fragile Things". All I can say is, I'd love to pick his brains, find out where he gets his shit.
  3. I've got Norah Jones' album "Come Away With Me" on the stereo right now. A bit too late to rock out (it's almost 12AM here ).
  4. So many to chose from, so little space. I won't repeat those that I agree with anymore, as I have lots: and so on and so forth...
  5. These are funny. I hope no one minds me sharing this though it's not my personal experience, but I found this website that posted a Facebook entry from a person who thought the Pat Benatar line "Hit me with your best shot" was "Hit me with your pet shark."
  6. I love the Beatles as much as Led Zeppelin. I'd say their best love song is "Something", the most infectious are "Hey Jude" and "Let it Be." I also love "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with Eric Clapton.
  7. Thank God someone made this thread; I don't get why she's popular either. I stopped listening to FM radio a long time ago; there are hardly any artists worth listening to nowadays (Justin Bieber, anyone? )
  8. ZZ Top (Blue Jeans Blues is their best blues rock song, in my opinion) Cream Jimi Hendrix (especially All Along the Watchtower and Purple Haze) Deep Purple
  9. A lot of great ones here already. Here are some that I agree with: Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven, Since I've Been Loving You, Whole Lotta Love, The Song Remains the Same, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Dazed and Confused (the list goes on; Jimmy Page rocks!) Jimi Hendix - All Along the Watchtower, Voodoo Child, Bold as Love, Purple Haze The Eagles - Hotel California The Who - Baba O'Reilly, Won't Get Fooled Again The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (though it's Eric Clapton, technically) AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long, Highway to Hell Deep Purple - Smoke in the Water Cream - Sunshine of Your Love Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing Here are my others: Carlos Santana - Black Magic Woman Eddie Van Halen for Michael Jackson - Beat It Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water I'm going crazy choosing my favorites . I guess these will do for now.
  10. 7.5 -> The music's good, the voice doesn't go well with it (to me, sorry!).
  11. Arctic Monkeys, the "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" album.
  12. Thanks! Really glad to be here.

  13. Hey welcome to the forum.

    Hi!

Hi all! I'm new to the forum, but I've been listening to Zeppelin for a long time. I'm really glad to have found this forum, and I'm looking forward to meeting fellow fans.
