With all of this talk I want to go back and re-watch "Inception". I remember liking it but I also had zero expectations.
I am a huge fan of Nolan's Batman films because I respect the dark and introspective nature of the characters. I understand why Burton's films were so campy because he was spring boarding off of the television series but I was never a fan of them. Too silly.
Ady, I never liked the television show either.
What I love about Nolan is that he is a filmmaker that makes you think and pay close attention to the plot and character development. Regarding the latest Batman movie, every character, every plot point ties everything together with the entire trilogy. The first hour is necessary to build up to the next hour which builds up to the climax which puts an incredible period mark to the final sentence of the collective story.

I love that show!
I am watching "World's Dumbest...infomercial products" and this was shown.
This is a real product. I thought the Brits were a kinky bunch.

^^^^Opps! Sorry, my fault. That was taken during the Yardbirds days. Probably around 1967-68.

Reliving my childhood days of the summer of 77. Even at the young age of 5, about to turn 6, i knew Han Solo was a badass.

Knebby, that is such a beautiful photo. Thank you for sharing it here. It is good to see him happy during that very difficult part of his life.

^^^^^ I never knew Hell has an invite list. I guess I should RSVP since I fall into at least one of those groups.

I was surprised by his definition of a garage band. Very cool choices but I have always thought of a garage band as one that has very inexperienced musicians, humble beginnings and rough around the edges. i would never classify the Yardbirds as such.

Yes. Bonham and Tora Tora opened for The Cult on March 2nd 1990 at The Summit in Houston.
Bonham was one of two opening acts on this tour (Dec-Mar), also billed with Dangerous Toys (Jan-Feb) & Tora Tora (Feb-Mar).
Yes I was there but we must have skipped the opening acts since I don't have any recollection of seeing them. I remember that I felt that the concert should have been longer. I was having too much fun and two hours just didn't seem long enough.

I just found this thread. Thank for posting this. I had fourth row seats when they were in Houston but I don't remember the opening act. Was Bonham on the entire tour?

Buying roses the day after Valentine's day: $5.00 per dozen!! I bought what I thought were 7 dozen only to find out, at home when I was cutting the stems and putting them in vases, 2 of the bunches were actually 2 dozen each and worth $34.99...yesterday. Today...$5.00!! So 9 dozen roses for $35!! So I bought some for my sister and mom.

No he is a journalist for a rockzine that was shooting ELO in Los Angeles. Looks dead on like Waters though. Funny.
He is Peter Makowski, a friend of Ross Haflin and Jimmy.

My permanent retainer that is attached to the underside of my lower teeth came loose last night. Now it has been sticking out and has been a bother for me while I eat and speak. I can't get it fixed until I can get an appt. tomorrow. Agggggggghhhhh!!!!

The best part of the story is the baby's name. I have always loved the name Asher ever since I heard of it a few years ago.

I think The Summit Houston 1977 show was shot professionally. Zeppelin performed there on 21 May. Queen performed there on 11 December and it was proshot. Maybe Zep's gig was also shot?
Houston was not pro shot. The arena had the capacity but for whatever reason the band did not film that night or use the jumbo screen at all.

Oops. Sorry Ady. Too many posts to keep straight. I am glad you liked the show. It was too campy for my tastes as a kid. I much preferred watching Bugs Bunny cartoons.
For me, if you are going to portray a superhero, you had better be a badass. Michael Keaton never did look like a guy who could beat the living shit out formidable villains or much less my lazy cat.
