  1. I should have not had tacos for dinner last night from this hipster taco joint. I am eating way too much this holiday season and having a dessert everyday. I normally only eat one dessert a week so eating out two meals a day for the past week plus all that sugar is catching up with me. And to have spicy tacos last night is causing an internal WW III on my digestive tract. Why, Why, WHY must I do this to myself?!! I will have to detox for the next couple of weeks. Blah, blah, bitch, moan...

  2. I am a coffee addict and proud of it. If it is the worst substance I put into my body, I am ahead of the game compared to a lot of people I know. It gets me going in the morning, especially before going to the gym and the euphoria I experience when having a good strong cup of espresso. It's legal and a hell of a lot cheaper than coke.

  3. Oh Rick. You are a man after my heart. I have a Keurig and have had it for a couple of years. It has made me really spoiled and impatient because anytime I have to use a regular coffee maker, it drives me insane. If I have to wait longer than 30 seconds for my cup of coffee in the morning,I will hurt someone! LOL I like to buy K Cups at Costco. 80 cups for $35. Do you use each cup twice or just once? I use mine just once.

I love cappachinos(?) and espresso, straight up. If I go to Starbucks, I love the holiday lattes. My faves so far are peppermint mocha, salted caramel, and gingerbread.

I do like hot tea, very much but it could never make me feel so happy as a cup of espresso.

  4. Morning Sean, the problem with the cake was I never put the bottom of the tin in properly, glad to say I remembered the foil.

Gave half to a Neighbour, should have thought this through a bit better, BD & 1 of my sons are Diabetic, they ate the cake then I had to listen to them babble a load of crap for the next 2 hours, so no more for them.

Didn't think to take a photo of it..

Jules, Melanie & ebk, had a lovely Pedicure, then did a bit of channel surfing (the remote was all mine), even had a power nap.

It was a welcome break as I am with BD 24/7..so I don't have time to miss him,

Melanie glad to hear that your Husband is doing well, how much longer before he is back behind the wheel?

I love pedicures. So relaxing and indulgent. I might have to get one too!

Thank you Kate. Andy is doing well but his PT thinks it unwise to drive, especially to work. He will have the physical and mental energy in the morning but being busy for 8+ hours will tire him and driving home will be unsafe. Hopefully soon though.

  5. Ouch! Give the guy a break. ;)

Oh hush. I have had him home for the past six weeks. He has done remarkablly well after having a stroke so the reality of him driving is in focus and very exciting...for me to kick him out of the house. :P

  6. Melanie passing up coffee!?! Maybe the Mayans were right and we really are at the end of the world.

    Laugh it up Fuzzball.

I never said I am passing up coffee, I am drinking it at home on Christmas morning while spending time with family instead of some silly Starbucks. Now me giving up coffee, THAT would be the end of the world.

  7. I feel for you Slave. I worked in retail a few years back and this time of year was brutal. I hate that stores are open on major holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The employees should have a chance to relax and spend time with their families. I passed a Starbucks this morning and they have a huge sign outside announcing they will be open Christmas Day. No thanks.
