Happy belated Mother's Day!
I dragged my family to the Picasso exhibit at the fine arts museum yesterday. My 12 year old son wanted to know why Picasso used so many naked women in his work. I didn't have an answer I could give him but I did have one I kept to myself: "You will figure it out for yourself soon enough."

Having a car accident today. This is just not my week! Everything's fine except for the car though so I guess I should be happy...
And that the car can be replaced but you can't. Take it easy tonight and relax as much as you can. You and Ally need to put in a Zep DVD and try to forget today knowing tomorrow will be better.

Joe, I was just complaining. I am now at an age where I gain weight just by looking at food. I messed myself up by eating whatever I wanted during the two and a half weeks the boys had off for Christmas break. Carbs, fried foods and desserts, oh my!
Now I m back to eating one dessert/week, one indulgent meal/week and cardio 6/week. My body is pissed at me at the moment.

Today is the first day of an eight week weight loss challenge that I signed up with a group of friends and I can potentially win $400.

Gonna watch my home team get pummeled but I just pulled out Ghiradelli(?) double chocolate brownies out of the oven to cool. Yum! I can comfort myself with delicious food. We also have yogurt dip in the fridge to go with pretzel chips and Double Stuf Oreos waiting to be consumed during the game. Oh and Jimmy John's sandwiches will be ordered soon. Thank god this is just once a year!...until Super Bowl.

Thanks Joe, Kate and Ally! My son's experience with language difficulties really put life into perspective for me: Don't sweat the small stuff and not all milestones are ordinary and a given.

My Old Aunt is on the mend, they have taken her off the Oxygen they were giving her, she is out of bed and fingers crossed she may be home at the weekend.
She is one lucky Lady given her age...

I am happy today because my younger son's school called and he longer needs speech therapy. He was severely speech delayed when he was a toddler and has been taking speech therapy since the age of 3. He is now a very talkative 11 year old.
