  1. The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down -- The Band
  2. I believe the DSM-III calls it Major Depressive Disorder. But I might go along with calling it No Quarter disease. Depression gives no quarter, that's for sure. Totally agree.
  3. Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf
  4. The Wind Cries Mary - Jimi Hendrix
  5. I had this discussion with my oldest son, who turned me on to the book in the first place. He is a Rushdie fan and liked the book, but he's not sure if it really deserves all the critical acclaim it received. I think yes, it does. For me, it was one of those novels that just pulled me in and I couldn't read it fast enough. It's both historical and utterly magical. I think Rushdie is brilliant.
  6. I recently finished Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie, which I absolutely loved. Now I'm reading The Satanic Verses.
  7. Simple Man - (two Lynyrd Skynyrd songs in a row for me)
  8. Don't Ask Me No Questions - Lynyrd Skynyrd
  9. I knew that was probably gonna get a complaint. Sorry! All My Loving - The Beatles
  10. Radar Love - Golden Earring
  11. (Just Like) Starting Over - John Lennon

I agree with you once again, kabbalahone. Being a brilliant artist doesn't give you the right to trample underfoot people's hearts. I imagine some of the girls who loved him must have been crushed by his philandering ways. Yes, they should've expected his behavior, but it would still hurt. And I bet some of them thought they would be the one true love that would take him away from all of the others. Oh well, I'm still crazy about him anyway (from afar, of course).
