  1. Glad you said that....me too! Although there has been some member(s) around lately who would probably be alright with it!

Don't worry guys, I'm just messin' with ya, and I know who u mean Walter ;). Here's an actual beautiful woman: 0214-cintia-dicker-si-12.jpg
  2. What do you mean by 'DVD copies' - actual physical DVDs, or downloads?

Either or. I'll be satisfied with a download (assuming the picture res is good enough) but an actual DVD (for a reasonable price) would be good too. I also need Seattle '77 and Knebworth, but I can wait, since I have YouTube rips of these to keep me happy. Like I said, I really want the 2 EC shows though. If I get a download, I at least can find a way to burn the files onto DVDs.
  3. It's a download. I no longer buy bootlegs (the last one I bought was LZs Eternal Mystery in the mid 1990s) Why buy them when you can get them at the click of a mouse button. Even the people who manufcture bootlegs more often than not these days get their recordings from the web via the generosity of tapers who will record a gig and share them for free on a p2p. There are exeptions some tapers still record for profit the label NYBC springs to mind.

Yeah, that's how I got my copy too. I was just curious, because I've been trying to track down a way of getting ahold of DVD copies of the video to the last 2 EC dates for over two years now, and I still have no luck.
  4. Currently watching Knebworth 8/4/79 thanks to a YouTube DL'er. More enteraining than just listening to it. I was amazed that I could actually see the audience during Black Dog. I couldn't ever see them when I was watching Seattle '77. Wish I could've gone to this show, but I was born way too late. 33rd anniversary btw!

  5. He takes a while to get going on the 27th, but I reckon he's in 'stumblefingers' mode on the 25th as well. Hey, it's Jimmy Page in 1977...I think he legally had his middle name changed from Patrick to Stumblefingers for a time there

When all is said and done 6-27 is my favourite of the LA '77 shows as well. I also love the vibe, and the epic scale of the show (it is Zeppelin's longest performance after all) And, for my money 6-27 has the best acoustic set of the whole tour!

Not to mention Plant constantly ribbing Jonesy about the "Strawberry Tart"

Think I'll put it on right now, actually...we're going out this evening, but maybe I'll have time to play the whole fucking show before we go...

I actually still enjoy the Sick Again from this show as well, I hear everyone say that the group was "teetering on the edge of falling apart" all through the song, but it's still one of the more high-octane versions of this song I've heard. I totally agree about the epic scale of the show, and it does have a very kick-ass acoustic set, and and still can't gush enough about the Noise Solo! 24:50 of awesome! Oh dear indeed!
  6. Strider, you have such a passion for the LA '77 shows, have you ever considered writing essays on each of the nights you were there detailing what it was like to be there? Sound recordings (however good of a taper Mike might've been) and 8mm footage is one thing, but I'm sure it still doesn't quite equal the true sensation it was to actually witness Led Zeppelin firsthand. I would love to read about your experience on what you felt, heard, and saw at those legendary shows! :)

  7. I love 6/27/77. It may not be technically perfect, but the vibes are good, and they do shine at various points! (My favorite Nobody's Fault But Mine, 2nd favorite No Quarter, my favorite Black Country Woman/ Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp ever, one of my favorite White Summers, and my favorite ever Noise Solo( I think bamf4k can agree on this one.). Though it's a shame that there's a tape cut in the middle of Achilles.
