  1. Just finished watching it on CBS and what an awesome tribute to Led Zeppelin. I was so touched by Robert Plant's tears, it brought tears to my own eyes. I have no words really to describe how this band has touched me as a teen and to this day, still one, if not, the only rock band in the world that brings me to heaven every time I listen to them. Congratulations Led Zeppelin. You are the reason God gave us ears!

  3. I see you Very pretty! and gorgeous hair too. Zeppelin fans are truly beautiful. Must be the music that brings it out in the fans
  4. It took what seemed like an eternity to arrive!! I think I waited close to 3 weeks. Tic toc the whole time. haha. Thanks for the compliment. Cheers
  5. Aww thank you my friend, you're too kind. Are you sharing any pics of yourself on here?
  6. My brother got me hooked when I was 14. He brought home Led Zeppelin I and said "you gotta listen to these guys." Then he dropped the needle and I listened and I liked what I heard. I was like "yea these guys are good!!" Then the next song played, then the next, the next and that was it. I was in LOVE. My first love. By far my favorite album. I can still remember the look on my brothers face when he came storming down into the basement with the album in his hands as though he stumbled across a secret that no one should know about but him and I...as though it was a matter of life or death at that very moment....as though nothing else mattered but this one thing. Listening to that album forever changed my life. The rest of the Zeppelin albums that I obtained over the years were all just an added bonus to my Zeppelin journey. None can even come close to such a musically gifted band. Long live the mighty Zeppelin.
  7. Wow, so many beautiful people all in one place. Nice to "meet" you all. This thread dates back to 2007. Good to see it still going strong. I thought I'd contribute so here's a pic of me wearing the Knebworth tee that I bought off this site (yes, it finally arrived). It's my fave tee. Well, actually, anything Zeppelin related is golden with me. Long live the hammer gods of rock n roll! Cheers, Patrizia
  8. Are you kidding me? I'm in Led Zeppelin's corner here. As a passionate fan, I felt Zeppelin deserved a standing ovation instead of a room full of cackles. Anything short of that is arrogance to the 10th power!! I would even go as far to say that POTUS (or anyone for that matter) should have bent down and kissed the feet of these legendary rock and roll gods. hehe 5 minutes till show time (Zeppelin on Letterman).
  9. I just think they deserved a little more respect than a speech about trashing hotels is all. For a minute I thought he was doing a tribute for Charlie Sheen No doubt Zeppelin must think the media, et al, are out to lunch with some of the things they say, and questions they ask. Only the true fans really "get" who Zeppelin are anyway. Nice try Obama. You'd make a great stand up comic. With all that to say, I'm proud of the boys. They certainly don't need a public honoring to make an impression. That impression was made years ago and the foot print will always remain for decades.
  10. I don't know about anyone else but Obama rubbed me the wrong way with parts of his speech. It was more of a mockery than a tribute. C'mon, trashing hotels? "Settle down...valuable pics on the wall..good thing windows are 3 inch thick, etc..". Funny yes but but wished Obama had focused more on their awesome talent and what they brought to the world musically which is a more accurate representation of the band.
  11. They look great! Love their choice of footwear! Rock on boys! Can't wait to see them tonight on Letterman.
  12. Is this the fender you saw? http://www.long-mcquade.com/products/17065/Guitars/Accessories/Fender_Musical_Instruments/Fender_DG-60_Acoustic_-_Black.htm
  13. Thanks Rich. I just googled and yes, I have a Long and McQuade in my city. Will go check them out tomorrow. I'll ask about that fender you mentioned however I have no idea what "pickups already in them" or "dropping the needle" means. Yup, I'm a newbie! I will definitely need some short term lessons to get going. Wouldn't even know if my guitar was out of tune so the lessons will be beneficial. Cheers, P.
  14. Nice! Come to my city Robert and I'll make you an honorary guest as well. Love his shoes and pants. Well dressed man he is.
  15. Hi, no I check the spam folder daily and nothing from LiveNation. However, I called the number yesterday and spoke to someone from Virginia. He indicated that my order should ship in 24 hrs. However, he mentioned an item was on backorder and I asked which one, he mentioned something completely non Zeppelin related. How sacrilege. I was like "huh?" Had to get the guy to read back my full order to make sure it was correct. Fingers crossed I get it soon! Stoked! Want / need my Zeppelin fix a-sap.
  16. Acoustic for starters. Just want to learn some songs. Music is medicine to my soul. The the first song I want to learn how to play - Ten Years Gone by Zeppelin. So beautiful. Thanks for the tips. I agree, a decent enough guitar at a price range of around $100 is what I was expecting.

  18. Wow so many friendly people in this place. Good to meet you all as well. @CharlesJWhite - yes, that's correct. It's right at the corner of Preston and Somerset. Great spot and food! What brought you to Ottawa in the past?
  19. Ooops looks like I didn't reply to the last thread. A band that starts with an H, how about Hendrix
  20. Sounds good! They have one on Preston St now. Hit me up whenever you visit again. Cheers.
  21. And yesterday I saw you kissing tiny flowers but all that lives is born to die. - That's The Way

  22. Next show for me is Heart! Barrracuda! I've never seen them live. Should be good show.
  23. Found this article and pic while surfing around the net. I believe it was taken last year. Great story! Imagine the kids if they really knew who they were posing with? http://www.hennemusi...ty-griffin.html
  24. Thanks Reggie, I thought about that but not sure he's the guy for merch orders. I think I will call the number tonight and see what's up. Cheers, P.
