Don't watch TV, except sports or political news (Fox) - not a liberal!

Good one there Amstel
BestBandStill, I am not being a "homer" when I say that.
I really believe everything they've done is golden - same with Jimmy Hendrix.
-
The Moody Blues - very underrated band.

Ginger Baker is a great drummer, but he is not in the same league as Bonham.
The crossovers/bass drum work/speed/feel/power - John Bonham had it all. There are other superb rock drummers, but none compare.
-
Also...
I wasn't impressed with Jason's drumming during In My Time Of Dying. That song was pushed by John's speed/fills/power, etc., etc., and Jason didn't display any of that during that song.

YES
Earls Court?
-
Axis:Bold As Love - great album!
-
Jason Bonham still can't play the intro to Rock n Roll properly - LOL
No one is entitled to play drums for Led Zeppelin except John Bonham!
-
Damn, forgot to mention Sandy Denny
&
P.P. Arnold
-
Yep - drinking Magic Hat
-
His dad is unsurpassed at it. I'm sure Jason can do most of it,
With a double kicker, Jason doesn't get close to what his papa did!
-
Bron-Yr-Aur
The shortest Led Zeppelin song just may have the most feeling!
Think about it...

POLKA
Through The Rye by Take Five
Why?
I'm a Polish kid who grew up on the NW side of Chicago. Went to a Catholic grammar school that had nothing but Polish, Italian & Irish parishioners. The carnival that my Catholic grammar school put on was always two weeks long, and numerous Polka bands performed. I remember my uncles requenting the beer garden when good Chicago Polka bands would perform ( Eddie Blazonczyk & The Ampolaires).
And BTW, what's wrong with Polka music?
What makes Polka music good? Heavy bass, trumpet, clarinet, and good drumming. A good accordian player is essential.
Yes, I may be Polish, but I do use deodorant, and I don't wear black socks with brown sandals - LOL

Psychedelic?
IMO, any music that is enhanced by a psychedelic drug is "Psychedelic"
This normally pertains to the music of 66' to 69'. Why? Need I ask?

Can you provide more details about the story?
I'll look through my stuff in the next day or two.
I know Robert Plant has confirmed this. I believe he went into surgery to remove nodes from his vocal chords. Whether or not it was intended to strengthen his voice or not, I don't know. Plant said it had to be done regardless.

What are you referring to? I've heard that story but always though it was a rumor.
My response was to the comment Charles J. White made above.
The "surgery" thing is mentioned/confirmed in a few books I own about Led Zeppelin. Geezer, you and I both know his voice did take on a new life after that 73' tour.
Cool Soundcheck from 1973?

No it isn't! The soundcheck is from 1973 - venue and exact date remain unknown.
