  1. Don't hear Led Zep that ofen on dutch radio. That is..., unless you are listening to a classic rock station. Somethomg like Arow Classic Rock (www.arrow.nl)

But..., on dutch radio Led Zep often appears to be on all those lists radio stations come up with around christmas/new year.

(Top 2000 of all times, Aroow Rock 500, etc......)

  2. I don't know. Do females dominate the market?

I thought Jimmy's guitar playing was awesome and beautiful before I ever saw how physically awesomely beautiful he is.

Indeed, I also had heard the music before I ever had any idea about what Jimmy looked like. (First time I got an idea about what he looked like was in the 90's, when he and Robert did that MTV "Unledded" thing. Back then I still had no clue what he looked like in his prime.....).

But...., I do think Jimmy's appeal was the fact that he was somehow different. Oh..., and he had something mysterious about him. Jimmy didn't seem to go with what was popular or fashionable, he did his own thing. In my opinion, Jimmy is an example of how being different can actually be a good thing.

  3. I love his look in this era - that worn out leather jacket & the last photo is one of my all time favourites of him. Want that gear! And the dragon Tele was such a cool part of his overall look.

Here's another nice one from the same era.

  4. Good morning ladies, hope all wis well.

As you all know, I also play the guitar and just like many of us, I like Jimmy playing his trademark Gibson Les Paul.

But....., I have a soft spot for the early days of Led Zep, when Jimmy was still playing his dragon Fender Telecaster.

So, here are some oldies, but (I think) goodies. Enjoy!

    Have a great day,

  5. NES-01.jpg

Lol! I also used to have one of these when I was just a little girl.

OK, the graphics and all that of modern video games may be better, but back then I surely enjoyed the old video games like Super Mario Bros, Castlevania and The legend of Zelda.

  6. Mmmm...., I've always wondered what the deal is with photobucket. I also can see some picture, while I can't see others (I do not have a photobucketaccount).

I always thought the grey photopucket-boxes meant the photo's were removed or for some reason no longer exist.........?

  7.

Jake Clemons from Bruce's band is soon touring Europe, performing in the livingrooms of some lucky fans. My friend is one of them, so I get to meet this guy at their house. Brilliant :-)

I know, I am going to the livingroom show in my hometown of The Hague., hosted by a Bruce-buddy of mine.

    Looking forward to it.

  8. Good morning fellow Pagettes,

How are you all doing? Hope all is well.

As I am drinking my morning coffee and starting my day, I am reading up on what I have been missing the last few weeks...

Some great pictures again and also some interesting discussions.......

You know ladies, when Jimmy was young, he was such a beautiful young man. Thick dark hair, green eyes and a very pretty face.

Not to mention his talent and musical skills, Jimmy is someone who always was different and I mean different in a good way. Jimmy can take that remark as a compliment.

To me it is such a shame that by the mid 70's he started to have issues with his heroin addiction, that off course never is good for both your health and your looks........

So yes, for me too, there are pictures from that period I find hard to look at...........

However, I am very glad he eventually managed to deal with these issues and today he seems happy and healthy.

As for Jimmy and vanity. In his young years he really did seem to care about his looks, he sure had a fashion-sense of his own (and I like it).

I feel that when he got a bit older it took him a while to come to terms with his age, so that is why I think he kept coloring his hair for so long.

Today he seems comfortable with his age and his silver hair.

See the added picture, good hairstyle for his older self (I like this better than the ponytail).

    Have a great day ladies,

  9. Just not the same without the Big Man, Clarence Clemons...not to mention Danny Federici. Though Bruce is still energetic in concert, I don't find his recent albums as rewarding as his early ones from "Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J." thru "Darkness on the Edge of Town". Like with Bob Dylan, I'm a little tired of him.

I have many memories of some thrilling Bruce concerts...from the Santa Monica Civic in '73 to the Sports Arena in 2007...but I doubt I will pay the money to see him again.

OK, yes I understand that without the Big Man & The Phantom the E-street band isn't the same. And yes, we'll always remember them and miss them.... However, I think Jake Clemons and Charlie Giordano also do a great job. For Jake I can truly imagine how at first it was difficult to step into his uncle's shoes, Jake is a great musician in his own right by the way.

I still think Bruce has plenty of energy on stage and the band still is very good. His shows are still 3 hrs, plus marathons. Plus, him having brought Tom Morello into the mix, gave his music a new dynamic.

  10. The super moon and blood moon which appeared a few weeks ago were amazing to observe..

    Harvest moon on sept 9th.

  11. I got some tragic news today. My co-worker took his life last night. 20 years old. He leaves behind a beautiful little boy of two years old named Jack. My heart hurts for him, I'm very sad that he and I will never laugh together again... I'm very sad his little boy, who loved his daddy so much, will have to live his life without him. I'm sad that he took his life so young, that he felt life is hopeless.

Please people, be kind to everyone you meet!!! If you see a frown, for God's sake turn it upside! We don't know the pain that others live with! Please love your fellow man! Please gie others hope!

    This is tragic news....

How hard must it be on his little boy and all the other loved ones behind.......
