Can I ask some questions as a relative newbie to the scene. Page is a genius and why he does not play could be through a myriad of reasons but what puzzles me is that other aspects seems to have stopped (unless you know better and can cite examples).
When did Mr Page last have a real productive song writing session.
When did Mr Page last produce (not including any Led Zep archive work)
Would fans be happy if the two facets mentioned were all he did and the playing stopped.
I can only imagine the list of bands that would jump at the chance to have their work produced by Mr Page.
Maybe he is disillusioned with music full stop. From the little I know the figure who was really important to him was Mr Grant. The trust in him seems to have been so important to his career.

I wish BBC 6 Music would give him a show. Iggy Pop, Martin freeman and Cillian Murphy have all done shows so Robert would be amazing.

I noticed that his voice was markedly different from Shaken n' Stirred to Now and Zen as well. Had he started singing in different a key. His vocals are very different from Now and Zen, was there any known issues with his voice at that time.

The Wedding singer comment was brilliant. Some genuinely funny moments and insightful to someone like me who is still learning the history of the band. Presence is a ferocious album.

I found that fascinating, did you get the impression he uses the flat above the pub. He is still obsessed with history and noticed he still uses paper maps to get around (no electronic gizmo's for him) Also the tease for the next episode, wow. I am enjoying these podcasts.

I like Shaken n Stirred. Bonkers but full of adventure and some fantastic vocals from Robert. Sixes and Sevens is an underrated track/vocal full of light and shade. Production has dated but it showed that being brave can work long term.

What I find fascinating is that now we have stadium bands with choreographed LED backdrops yet somehow Zeppelin inhabits such a small space on stage and still creates power and spectacle. How bands did that with limited amps and sound equipment compared to today is astonishing.

Weren't Robert's dental issues due to the first bad car smash he had in the early 1970's.

Has the curators done that pose deliberately so the viewer can get a better look at the guitar, rather than relying on Jimmy's style.

Thank you for that. Yes it is clearly the mellotron. I am still amazed at how little kit they needed on stage to make their sound.

in pick 1 was that the average amp set up for them onstage. If so how on earth did they get the massive sound.

BBC 6 Music plays them on a semi regular basis and seems to play a wide range of their output.

I love how Allison Krause asks Robert to sing the same way so she can harmonise and how she gets him to leave to the studio when recording as she wants to know what he thinks of the musicians. A very funny anecdote.
