Awesome! :cheer: Have you watched any of it?
Nope, not yet!
It was a right bargain, I couldn't resist!

^ Hi Chicken . I loved the The Spinning Jennys material and your own stuff. Very talented indeed. Have you tried the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham for gigs? They often put unknown bands on as support/warm up for the main acts.
Hi...thanks very much!
No, to be honest we haven't got that far afield yet. We've just been getting gigs around Manchester and Lancashire so far...but yeah, as soon as we're ready to go a bit further away I'll get in touch with 'em, cheers!

My band got asked last minute to play in the canteen at uni, which we did yesterday.
Well...it was certainly the weirdest gig I've ever played.
I would've thought they would at least like, make a space for people that wanted to watch the band, but it was just like...the normal canteen but with us stuck in the corner.
One girl came and told us to turn down halfway through, which we couldn't, because of it being the canteen the drum kit wasn't mic'd up so we could only be as quiet as the kit.
*Sigh*, it was all very strange.
Although we thought nobody was taking a blind bit of notice, but then when we finished the set, a whole shitload of people got up and left.
So I guess some people were listening.
I'm glad it's over and done with though; I don't think we'd do it again.

Well, my band has a gig in Wigan next Wednesday so obviously I'll be at that.
After that it's Manchester Versus Cancer at the MEN on the 23rd Feb.
Which I am well looking forward to.

Started it this morning.
One of the blurbs on the back says "a real page-turner!" or something...it's right.

It's just a nickname I acquired at college!
It never caught on when I went to uni though, so now it's just a thing my older mates call me...quite nice really, it's like having a secret handshake or something.

Chicken so good to see a performance pic I apologise if you've posted one before - it's the first I've seen.
Well, granted there hasn't been one for ages!

Lovely pictures everyone!
PS. Contrary to all my recent pictures, I do not wear that t-shirt all the time.

The new version or the old version of TSRTS?
The new one...I just got it the other day.

It's an autobiography of his childhood/teen years...funny, but also quite touching.
Beat me to it!
I finished it this morning, I'm gonna read this next:
My step-brother bought it me for my birthday.

You're in for an excellent show! I've seen him twice, the first time in a smallish theater and the second in festival mode at Crossroads this past summer. Either is a great way to see him...he's amazing no matter what the setting! Haha, the first time I saw him, about two years ago, he just kind of wandered off-stage in the middle of a song and showed up in the balcony to finish it off He's a feisty little guy and I adore him!
Haha...that does sound like great fun!
It's a bit too long away for me to be really looking forward to it yet, but I'm sure it'll whizz 'round!

Lastnight I got that footlong chicken sub + medium drink for £3.99 deal at Subway.
I could only eat half of it so I stuck the other half in the fridge.
I forgot all about it 'til I got home from work this afternoon absolutely starved.
Booyeah!
That was better than finding a forgotten £1 in your other coat or something.
