Getting laundry done.
sad huh?
I'm going to properly celebrate these evening, when all my kids are done working.
Only I didn't get to the liquor store...and now I'm hoping daughter remembered.

It's so perfect for xmas eve, especially if it snows, which is supposed to happen tonight.
So..later tonight...I will be Happy if the Champange is ice cold!
While we get stuck Wrapping all the kids pressies. Oh what JOY!
I do not like wrapping.

Having the power restored after a HUGE storm knocked it out.
Last night, the clouds suddenly got pitch BLACK and the wind was extremely powerful.
You could see the clouds moving like a tidal wave toward the mountains. Started raining, then hailing, then Lightning! mixed with snow and while I was on here....BOOM! I look out the window and see a power transformer
(or whadever) Explode! Knocked out the puter, the tv, I was scared it blew up the puter.
Then the snow DUMPED...alot, we have about five inches just on the valley floor, I imagine the mountains really piled up. They closed Parleys canyon from any big rigs and cars only with chains.
So, we sat around a candle pretending it was a fire and reminisced the old days back in NC.
Then to late to do anything the power came back on.
Now, the sun is "partly shining" and the sidewalks are clear and the light is blinding from all the white.
Pretty.

My biggest box purchase to date is the Grateful Dead's
So Many Roads '65-'73
13 cd's I think....and got it onsale at release for $99 ! Now that was a great deal !
Plus...I'm sure you know this, but they expanded each original cd with outtakes and live material to the max ! I mean, some of them were a full 80 minutes !!
I've got a few others and I got them at a good price too.
Pfft! You always semi-trash the Dead. When will you possibly listen to 13 cd's!!

Strange...my sister's birthday is Dec. 16--yesterday
I got to sleep in. Now I have to get my ass moving. I have a test to study for.
I know.....I could be many's mother here. It's bad enough having BD's myself, but as my kids continue onward and up the BD's are a rude reminder.
But, it also reminds me how much work I did do as a mommy, and produced some fine specimens to leave on the Planet!
My son could read chapter books entering kindergarten, I taught him myself.
