    Your welcome RainbowElf.

Chill great to read your tales from Spike Island. You can hear the influence of Zep on Love Spreads (although it is the more psych end of their work rather than the rock) You do wonder if they had had the ability to just mature on their own terms just like many bands in the 1960's/1970's had the chance to where their careers would have gone but we will never know now. In an alternative universe Zep have done a cover of Love Spreads in my head.

Anniemouse, there is only 2 miniutes and it's trailer, not the whole movie.

Rockfield: The Studio on the Farm ||`FulL`MoViE-`HD

    Hope that helps Rainbowelf.

The Stone Roses were an incredibley talented but deeply unstable band. Struggled with the writing/recording process, with each other and the labels.

The story of the keyboard player of the Charletons was heartbreaking.

Ozzy Robert and Dave from Hawkwind were amazing. The family who set the studio up seemed incredibly excentric but lovable.

    Thank you Anniemouse.

I highly recommend this documentary from the BBC. It's a classic watch to see how a studio developed. Also includes a typical Robert Plant dig at his Zeppelin stint.

Do I need to register to the site, or is this a channel I can just watch? It says available for 25 days.

    Update:

It says you can only watch it if you live in the UK, I guess I can't watch it.

Great band in the Dio era with some all-time great musicians.  Still not as good as Deep Purple, however.  Blackmore is like a brilliant writer who needs a good editor, and apart from Dio early on he really didn't have that in Rainbow.

I love Rainbow. The Dio era first and Foremost. I'll never forget the first time I heard Kill The King from On Stage. Pretty much right after it was released. It knocked me out..

One of those 1st impressions when I remember exactly where I was when I heard it..What a voice..Plus Cozy, Ritchie ...the whole band. just awesome. .

I've also been appreciating Down To Earth a lot lately.

Eyes Of The World for me  is right up there with Kill The King, Lady Of The Lake, Stargazer, Long Live Rock And Roll, Man On Then Silver Mountain etc. a perfect song.

I've been watching some great Video Diaries on Youtube of The Graham Bonnet Band on Tour. He seems like such a cool Down To Earth guy.. plus he still sings pretty awesome too. Great band..

Killer pipes on Down To Earth.

The Joe Lynn Turner era is very good too.. But it doesn't have the same impact for me.  For some reason JLT always annoyed me a bit... Very big mouth in interviews,.. No doubt an excellent singer.

Can't Happen Here, Street Of Dreams, Stone Cold, Spotlight Kid ...all good stuff..

John Osbourne, I do think Roger Glover had a bit of a hand in helping Ritchie "edit" a bit. RB was looking, obviously to get more commercial with DTE and JLT. I think Roger Glover had a big hand in that.

Can't say I know much about Doogie White, or the current lineup... but I'll catch up some day..

Great post Chase, JLT really never did nothing for me, but yes there are a few songs I like.

@John Osbourne, I tend to disagree, for me Rainbow were always the better band and the one I listen to most often, I like Purple but not as much as Rainbow.

At one time or another every one of the albums has been my favorite.  The albums are so different from each other, and each is so special.  The only way for me to answer this question is to say that my favorite album is the one I am listening to at the time.   Each one I listen to I think about how great it is, and I am reminded of all the reasons I like it so much.

I see what you mean, at one time Led Zeppelin IV was my favorite, but every time I listen to III, man the feelings the album invokes in me I just can't explain it.

I highly recommend it. I don't know if you've heard.

Thank you Rodrigo, I will check it out, I’ll see if I can find the song listing for it, much appreciated.
