Here in Jersey they're kind of new, they're either named Connoco or 76, but mostly that I've seen they're named simply Connoco.

Also Phillips 66 all the same company and gas just three different names.

I'm sorry RainbowElf... I just saw this. it was pretty incredible. Bill Ward was still in the band. He left the tour a week or 2 after this show. I was already a major Dio fan for about 2-3 years at this point. It was my first time seeing Black Sabbath too. I didn't see the original band until Ozzfest 1999. It was also originally a Blue Oyster Cult show we had tickets for. About a week before the scheduled date, the concert was pushed back a day and Black Sabbath were added. They both had the same Manager at the time, Sandy Pearlman. Bill Ward seemed a little out of it, but listening back to some of it now, he sounds quite good. Blue Oyster Cult were super tight and went on last. This show was recorded and Broadcasted by The King Bisquit Flower Hour which explains why there are a professional recording.

    Thank you, Chase.

Yeah I think maybe it is owned by Connoco Phillips now.  It's so hard to keep track of all the oil company mergers and acquisitions. I think they are just now call "76" and not Union 76

Union 76 had been based here in SoCal in El Segundo. Not far from Long Beach and the port of Los Angeles, right near Los Angeles International Airport.

Their signs were a large orange ball with "76" on them signifying the year 1776.  Back in the 60s if you filled your tank they would give you an orange 76 ball to put on your antenna.  I always thought they were cool.

Yeah, they are still around. Generally good gas, but I NEVER go one.

When I turned 18 and was attempting to establish some credit I applied to four gas companies and 3 of them turned me down, only Union 76 sent me a card. So, I contacted the 3 that refused me (Mobil, Texaco, and Chevron) and asked them to reconsider, and if they would just give me a limited $100 max credit line, I would appreciate it. I was working full time and could show the ability to pay.  Mobil reconsidered and sent me a card... thank you!  But Texaco and Chevron both still said NO way, so I vowed to NEVER spend a nickle ever at one of their stations for the rest of my life.

    Is Union 76 Connoco Phillips?

I remember when they were calling bands posers and all that stuff who weren't thrash and all, then they released Load and Reload and tried sounding Grundge because that’s what was selling at the time, they became the posers and sellouts they talked about and bashed.

I have no doubt it's that "Citizen of the World" guy in Arizona who used to post here as IpMan and then PeaceFrogYum.

    Might be linked with JTM.

Yes he is a troll and a big one too, you have a great weekend Reids!

You didn’t like the facts presented, so you had to get nasty. Typical. You first ask what tax, then asked where the tax came from. I answered both with sources, diagrams, charts with colors, shapes and arrows, so you or anyone could easily find them. You didn’t like the answers, so I brought more historical facts to keep it objective. Then you spin it with name calling. If you didn’t like the truth, you shouldn’t have asked in the first place. You made a claim of the Texas storms (2/17) causing this (from January) which is where I called your error out. You didn’t like that so,  you continued to ask for more info, which I provided. Local and national can add taxes at any time, which has been what happened (.60+ Hike since January). Gas Prices will probably continue to climb Quicker than any year since 2015 due to more taxes (even though the US is/was oil independent as of January 2021).

That's why I put him on ignore Reids, the guy likes to start trouble and poke fun at people, at least I don't have to read his posts anymore or I'll wind up getting banned.

    I'll forgive you.

I’m not asking to be forgiven, you said you were trying to be friendly by calling me Ellie, so being the good guy that I am, I said I was sorry, I didn’t or am in no way asking for forgiveness, so please don’t turn this into something it’s not.

I’m being nice and your trying to undermine that.

Oh dear, I was trying to be friendly, your sensitivity will be noted.

That's cool sorry on my part,  just thought  you were being sarcastic.

C'mon now Elfie, doesn't a little humour lighten your day.

I don’t call you names, don’t change mine to make it sound silly.

    Just you regular common cold.

Only reason I’m wearing a mask is because it’s law and no one will let you in without one.

    Miss Rudolph.

Lol, those were the funny days, now Black comedians probably can't use the N word, themselves just for comedy purposes.

    Richard Pryor was the best.

I found out that models name it was on the magazine, Vicki Waters, but yeah she could play Miss Rudolph alright.

My last bike had low 8:1 compression. My mechanic gave me some 105 racing gas and when I got to a road where I could open it up, it was like I'd been fired from a cannon. I could not believe it and my plugs never looked so clean. I can only imagine if my motor had 12:1 compression. The stuff he gave me looked like grape soda. He was also a drag racer.

Here's the jinxed engine I had. It was called a 'Super-Vee' and was not really super at all, thanks to the crooks who made it and the dimwits who assembled it.

The better quality the gas the better engine performance, for your car all around.

I use Shell V-Power all the time.
