Happy 50th anniversary to one of the greatest albums ever. Released May 21, 1971.
You're not wrong. Definently an amazing album (and an amazing song)

A Led Zeppelin reunion tour would be pretty cool, but there is a low chance that that is happening. But if they did, what songs would you like to hear live, or where would you want them to play?
Immigrant Song as an opener, Rock & Roll as a closer... and definently want them to come to Auckland. Either the Western Springs Stadium (because I live like 15 minutes walking distance from their) or the Mount Smart Stadium (cause that's a cool venue as well).
What are your ideas??

Heya!
I love to listen to bootlegs and Led Zeppelin but it can be quite frustrating only listening through YouTube or downloaded concerts so I figured I'd try to make the (in my opinion) best Live Led Zeppelin Concert on Spotify with the songs that exist on Spotify today. In my dream Knebworth and Royal Albert Hall (1970) would also exist... But! I've tried to do my best and if you have Spotify and listen to LZ as much as I do, then feel free to click the link below and tell me what you think
I know I cheated pretty hard by using studio version of Kashmir, I tried to keep Robert's voice as "fluent" and as much "in time" as possible to try to keep the live feel. The sound differs a lot and you'll just have to imagine that it's from different bootlegs Also, as mentioned above, if Knebworth existed I'd love to have used that version (or any other version) of Trampled Underfoot instead of Misty Mountains Hop before SIBLY. Oh well... You'll hear a lot of "mistakes" but this is just for fun and I do hope someone out there will enjoy it!
Side note:
Christ almighty, there's too many CB versions... I went with the "loudest" and most groovy with a bit of funk in there!Hopefully you'll enjoy! Also added some songs they didn't really perform live but I figure I've complained enough at my own compilation so you don't have to. I'm sure I can see as many faults as you could but once again, it's all for the fun of it...
Have a wonderful day! ❤️
I am very impressed. That is a great playlist!

It was at Kiel Auditorium!!!
I miss those days…..and confused!
lol
I am pretty sure it was at the St. Louis Arena.
The St. Louis Arena was much bigger than the Kiel Auditorium (the arena could seat 18,000 and the auditorium could seat 9,000) and by that time Led Zeppelin were playing massive sports arenas and stadiums. Besides, IMO it wouldn't make sense to play for 16,000 people in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (with a population of not even 100,000) but only play for 9,000 people in St. Louis, which has a population of 309,000.
It could've have been moved from the Kiel Auditorium to the St. Louis Arena for extra tickets to be sold.

I hope it's sunny

Could be, makes sense as they were really the first band seriously busted for drugs in the 60's. Other bands / musicians had been busted for dope going way back, especially the Jazz musicians but nothing was as public, or caused the stir that the bust at Keith Richards house did in 1967. That was huge at the time, on every newspaper front page.
Funny when looking back today that was tame compared to what the punks later did, and nothing compared to what those crazy Scandinavian Black Metal bands were up to.
True. About the KR bust, from what I've heard about it, is that previously the police had tried to bust Mick Jagger, however he was in Italy with Marianne Faithfull. This was kind of revenge for the police.
Not 100% sure that's true though.

I pay tribute to Randy Rhoads - he was one of the like 50 guitarists that inspired to me a guitarist.
Finest work IMO is Mr. Crowley.

"I Can't Drive 55".... oh my god that song gives me chills.

He died in 2004 and you are just now finding out? 😲
No...... There just happened to be an article on his death in my notifications box, and so I read it, because I like reading this stuff, whether I know it or not.
Like, 3 minutes ago I red about the 1980 KISS Tour in Australia. I've red about that so many times.
I just like reading things, because there could always be more information (on the DD article though it was already what I knew)

Good question, I have no clue but as a 53 year old dude I remember hearing the term back in the mid-70's.
Hm. However I am 99 percent sure that term was used to coin the "dangerous" band in the world - The Rolling Stones.

Duran Duran's pretty good

Right on Brother, now you too are connected to the vaccinated community via the Bill Gates microchip. If you concentrate REAL hard you can hear the thoughts of all the other vaccinated Americans, however the downside is you are now controlled by Microsoft 🙂
ALL HAIL OUR COMPUTER OVERLORDS!!!
ALL HAIL!!
Also, just on another note, I think I had said to luvlz2 "Good luck" on getting the vaccine... I can't see it anymore

Plus, when rock and roll lived its name was money, sex, & drugs. Kinda like Manbearpig but separated. No single band was soooo good to claim such a lofty title.
Where did that term "sex, drugs and rock and roll" orginate from.

RIP Dimebag Darrel - just read an article on his death.

It depends entirely on how close they cut the grooves. Hence EMI’s “Golden Hour” series in the 70’s. The closer the grooves the longer the play time and the worse the quality. 20 minutes per side is optimum.
Rebalancing a track listing for cassette or reel to reel was not uncommon in the 60’s/70’s, The White Album for example, saves on physical tape.
Thanks!
