  1. Being able to tell my assistant at work that she's getting a whopping great bonus next month. She totally didn't expect it - she was so happy she started crying, and I ended up joining in! It's so nice to be able to give people good news. :)

  2. Looking at some of the photos in this thread makes me think that the so-called "rumour" about Robert's (ahem) "10 inches" may actually be true!!!:blush::blink:

Edit: hope I don't get blacklisted/banned for the above comment ... I was only repeating what I read somewhere! Hope I haven't offended anyone. Then again, this is the thread with an animated shot of Robert's "bulge" so hopefully my post is in the right place!

  3. Me too

Me three! (Oops, meant to include the picture as well - never mind, you know which one I meant!)

He is, quite simply, one of the most beautiful men ever to grace this planet. Sigh ...

  4. Actually you have lovely eyes. Interesting upside down teardrop? Dont mind me, I'm not staring.

    Promise!

    Wow...

    Shad  w

S'okay, Shadow - I have one in each eye! They are actually iridotomies, which were done as part of the eye surgery I had a few years ago to correct my atrocious eyesight! I'm quite fond of them now, to tell you the truth - even though they're a bit strange!

  5. 1985_pp021.jpg

I had to look at this one through my fingers ... you know the way you can't bear to look at something but know that you have to?!:blink: OMG, how AWFUL is this photo? The '80s have a lot to answer for. Not a good look at all, for either of them. And Jimmy didn't even zip his fly up! :o

  6. Well, there's no photo to go with this, just an amusing quote from today's "In Gear" section of the Sunday Times. In an article by Jeremy Clarkson (journalist renowned for his irreverence and political incorrectness), he laments the demise of real men in today's music world, thus:

"Robert Plant used to send women wild with that lion's mane hairdo and half a mile of hosepipe down the front of his loons. But now everyone in music is a doe-eyed pretty boy with nothing up his nose except moisturiser."

Well said, Jeremy .. although I suspect that the hosepipe may be a figment of someone's imagination???!!!

    :hysterical:

Edited 'cos I spotted a typo

  7. Ha ha! Thought you'd like that. I clearly remember that song from the 70's also...reckon I could still do the dance to it as well, though I doubt I would be able to get as low as I used to nowadays.

Oh no! I remember it too! Can you still do the "Tiger Feet" dance (as immortalised by Mud) as well? I'm ashamed to admit that I can ... I might fall over my feet in the process, tho' :bagoverhead:

  8. The only alcohol I have in the house is a solitary can of Fosters (which I don't really like), but hey! I'm with a good bunch of people in this thread, so I'm gonna try it!

BTW - I've just been laughing at "School Of Rock" which is currently on Channel 4 here. Just heard Jack Black raging at the kids in the classroom 'cos they've "never heard of Jimmy Page"!

    Cheers, everyone!

  9. My old avi from the old board. It exceeds the max file size for avis here, but I thought I'd toast you all.

    Cheers, Ev!

I used to visit the old board, but never got around to signing up - then one day it was gone! However, the one thing I remember vividly from the old board is your avi! It's definitely the coolest one around, shame you can't use it here!

  10. Yeah, this was a really tough choice. For me it was a toss up between The Ocean and The Rain Song, but The Ocean won in the end, due to the sheer variety of moods and styles in a single song. What's not to love?! :D

Edit: Woo hoo! My 100th post - now I am officially a Zep Head!!! :yay:

  11. I take anything that's published in "The Sun" with a shovelful of salt. And that's only because I'm far too refined to use it to wipe my bottom with! ;)

(For the benefit of non-Brits, it's a tabloid "newspaper" (I use the term loosely) which is one of several known for its' sensationalist claptrap.)

Oh hang on a minute, maybe "claptrap" is a peculiarly British expression as well ... ??? Oh what the heck - "claptrap" = rubbish/nonsense/total bollocks, etc etc ... you get the picture!

    [edit: remove typo]
