  1. Even so, all you have to do is listen. Zeppelin's version is a lot more closer to the version that the Small Faces had done. At least on Robert's end. The way he sings it is unmistakable.
  2. The Yardbirds did some shows with The Small Faces back in the day. Page once asked what song was it that The Small Faces had opened up with... It was "You Need Lovin'" Also, Plant was a giant fan of The Small Faces, and Steve Marriott. He went to many of there shows. Just listen to the way Marriott sings the song. Plant sang it almost EXACTLY the same way. Zeppelin even did that little pause at the end that The Small Faces did. "Way down inside... you need love." I know that The Small Faces had stolen the song as well, but my point is that Zeppelin's version was more inspired by The Small Faces.
  3. Listen to the cover "You Need Lovin'" by The Small Faces. That's where Zeppelin got the idea for the song. Stolen.

  5. Just two. He played on Over The Hills and Rock n' Roll. It was great. Hope he comes down again some time.
  6. it was an amazing show! too bad you couldn't make it. Jimmy Sakurai is one of the nicest guys I've ever met.
  7. I believe its just not that big of a deal. Why get worked up over something like this...
  8. Led-Zeppelin made money with their first album with a picture of he Hindenburg exploding. Is that not callous to all the people who died on the Hindenburg. Is that not disrespectful to the families of those who died?
  9. Although the statement on that page is inappropriate; people are going to say what they want to say. You can't go on getting angry at every person who bashes Bonzo, or even Zeppelin. Let it go.
  10. Back then people were amazed with 'the guitar solo.' It was a new thing. Page and many others were still pioneering it. So many people put guitar solo's in songs since then, it has become old. Which is why most modern artists don't include a long guitar solo, or any guitar solo at all in their songs. Today's generation does not have the attention span for them.
