There's a lot to unpack here. Suffice to say I wouldn't really be interested in a poll that sets aside all known facts, because the outcome would be entirely subjective as opposed to objective.

Clapton chose "Derek and the Dominos: because he did not want his name and fame to get in the way of maintaining a "band" image. It's as simple as that.

Bingo!  Also, Eric wanted a type of Sergeant Peppers alternative  (fictional) name; even if it contained his name with a variation of the D from Duane together, so you get “Derek & The Dominos”

  2. R.I.P. International soccer great, Pele (82).

Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known mononymously as Pelé, was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. Regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and labelled "the greatest" by FIFA, he was among the most successful and popular sports figures of the 20th century.

... also, R.I.P. Bob Marley’s grandson, Jo Mersa Marley (31)

  3. I like Slash with Myles and The Conspirators best out of Slash’s work then VR then his snake pit then GNR (“patience” best song, as I’m Not an Axl fan; his voice grates like sandpaper on a chalk board). Slash’s tone is better on all of his other (non-GNR) stuff, too. His playing is great (just not a fan of his syrupy tone in GNR combined with Axl’s shrill).

Santa Page - he never delivers any presents, but he's planning to do it next year...

He’s done quite a bit in the past few years (considering he’s in his 70s) ... 2 books through Royal Art Press, spoken word vinyl with Scarlett Sabet, various guitars (Dragon Telecasters, etc);... just no recorded material of his own In recent years... (but there is the Coverdale/Page deluxe in 2023 expected)...
