  1. Hi sweetie! Read the above, this is the real me as to how I feel about you. By the way, your mailbox is full! I can't PM you. Ha Ha! Take care and ROCK ON my dear!

So can you spare another $2,500? Okay, well seriously, i know you are a wonderful dad. Not everyone has one of those, lol. My daughter is my first priority. Just tonight i was talking to my next door neighbor who has a two year old daughter. Returned home after 9pm and my daughter and the neighbor's daughter start playing and running around (dark and drizzling at the time:) ). Anyway, i told her (Jen) how many activities my daughter is enrolled in and she says "you are crazy"! As long as my daughter wants to do everything, i will continue to give her the opportunities. I know that is the kind of father you are, no matter what age your child is.

I know you are my friend. I just cleared out a bunch of messages from the pm box. I have to get to sleep so please forgive if i don't get back to you tonight. Have a great night and try to get your five hrs of sleep in somewhere :)

  2. First, to ~tangerine~... thanks! For those who don't know, last weekend was the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanna) and this weekend was the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). Now I'm not a particularly religious Jew myself (ask me sometime how I feel about religion... and I hope you feel the same way or we'll fight for hours), but I find the traditions quite beautiful. So... thanks!

(And boy did I have a lot to atone for this year! :o:slapface:;):D)

Second... ZFF's posts actually make me happy. He's a very positive person. Yes, that can be annoying sometimes, but with so much darkness in the world, occasional light is a good thing, and ZFF definitely shines light. So I say thank you to ZFF for his posts.

Finally... I have something to post in here for once...

My Statistics teacher. My financial aid has yet to come thru, so I have no money to pay for my semester, yet. My Statistics teacher has gone the extra mile to make sure I can still take my tests and do well despite not being able to afford my books or materials needed for the class. If I fail tomorrow's (today's) test (at 10:00 AM), I am only failing myself and her. Wish me luck, everyone!

Hi Nathan, you're welcome. Actually, i went to Hebrew school for one month when i was seven. My mom and my best friend's mom (who i went with) asked us if we wanted to continue after that. Naturally, we said no, opting to be outside playing rather than inside learning, lol. My family celebrates the high holidays but very informally. For example, there is no seder on Passover, but we do have family dinners.

I have never been religious, and in fact, i a atheist. But being Jewish isn't just a religion, it's a Nationality. That is something you can't change.

I just thought of Evester... i believe he said he is Jewish.

Agreed, ZFF is always positive (kind of disgusting sometimes, doesn't he get PMS like the rest of us icon6.gif, seriously, he is a rare find.

I wish you luck on your Statistics test. That was one course that gets such a bad rap, but i had the greatest Stats instructor in Nursing School, and i got an A in the course. She made it fun and she gave breaks for math errors. She looked like Tracy Chapman, including the hair :) I hope you get the financial aid in order soon!

  3. Personally, I have never felt he has been disrespectful to anyone. The only reason I said anything in the first place was that I found it...maybe annoying is not the right word, but slightly odd that he would respond to everyone with the exact same post, he would just change the screen name to suit who he was talking about. I likened it to a form letter a company would send out in a mass mailing. Each letter says the exact same thing, the only thing that changed was the salutation and the farewell. I didn't make mention of it because it bothered me or made me angry or offended me....it was something that stuck in the back of my head and I finally decided to ask about it.

Seems you are not the only one, and others actually seemed to have been making fun like children would do. I respect that one person came right and stated his very forward opinion (better than making fun). I applaud ZFF for kindly telling that person he won't change for them. Maybe his style is odd, but then ZFF isn't your average guy :) That's a compliment btw.

  4. Hi Tangerine,

Well i have sifted through all his posts and i can tell you with hand on heart that not once has he been disrespectful to any other poster, he's fcuking annoyed enough with the way he keeps on saying "DIEHARD ZEPPELIN FANATIC" and "ROCK ON" but disrespectful to anyone? Never.

If you know of any other posters with annoying little habits like ZeppFanForever, please post your concerns to,

    Youmustbegettingmemixedupwithsomeone@whogivesashit.co.uk

Kind Regards, Danny Y'all Come back now, Y'hear?

You sure, not even ONE? I have noticed that even when challenged to spit back a nasty or defensive remark, ZeppFanForever gives it a positive spin. He's the guy who when you give him the finger during road rage, instead of doing the same back, he waves to you :)

    Hilarious post, Danny!

  5. Oh sweetie, you're too kind! You're like my night and shining armour! I really do appreciate what you do for me. I know that you realize that I can fight my own battles, however, I would love to have you along side me when I do fight my battles, you are like a breath of fresh air for me. I promise you that I will be there for you anytime that you need me. Please remember that! ROCK ON!

You're welcome. I haven't been here much past couple days, and haven't read many posts beyond the last page of a few threads. But a friend kind of directed me to read some, and wow, kind of sad to see people behaving so silly. I KNOW you can fight your own battles, lol. Don't you have a black belt? :) Nice to have a friend like you!

  6. To all who are picking on ZeppFanForever, i challenge you to find one post where he is disrespectful in his response to anyone. I haven't read all his posts, but i still feel confident in asking this. He is original, and there is nothing wrong with that.

What made me happy today was spending a nice time with my family at my sister's house for dinner. Had delicious fish and enjoyed chatting with everyone. Was also nice to see that this year the kids are grown enough that the adults can talk without constantly watching over the children! Here's to independence and growing up! To anyone it applies to (Nathan and LDW come to mind) Happy New Year!

  7. Hi "~tangerine~!" I hope all is well with you and your daughter. As for what has made me happy today? That would be talking to you "~tangerine~" for the first time in a long while. Your Daughter reminds me so much of my Daughter that it blows me away. Please don't take this wrong but I love women with blonde hair and blue eyes. When hispanic men and white women with blonde hair and blue eyes get together, beautiful babies are made. I know, because my late wife and I made a beautiful baby girl which would grow and blossom into a very beautiful woman with blonde hair and blue eyes just like her mother. Her skin is like a golden brown, she is the perfect woman that any man her age would love to have. I can tell that your daughter is going to grow up and be beautiful just like you. And the funny thing here is that I have never seen a picture of you or your daughter. Ha Ha! Take care and ROCK ON "~tangerine~!"

Hi ZeppFanForever, i hope you are doing well! Very nice of you to say speaking to me made you happy :) Thank you. I think it's great that you have such a fantastic relationship with your daughter and i know she is lucky to have you for her dad. I believe i will always have a strong bond and close relationship to my daughter like you have with yours! I'll tell you a secret... my daughter will be even prettier than me and much more successful in her life! The beauty is natural, the success is my goal for her :) Have a great night!

  8. How's it going "alwizard03?" I hope all is well with you. Congratulations al, I can tell that you are one proud Grandfather! My Daughter, Lydia Marie was born 7 lbs 3 ounces and 21 inches long. Lydia also had blonde hair and blue eyes just like her mother, my late wife. I'm hispanic, Lydia didn't take after me (Feature or lookwise) at all except my personality (I don't know if thats good or bad). Lydia's now a grown woman and breaking men's hearts all over California. Ha Ha! What can I say, she's a real looker just like her mother. Have a great time with your Grandkids and cherish every moment with them as I know for fact that you will. Life can be very beautiful! In the mean time, take care and ROCK ON my friend!

Hi ZeppFanForever, my daughter's dad has dark features. Almost black hair and dark brown eyes. During my pregnancy i would sometimes wonder if she would be dark like him or look like me. She is a blonde haired blue/green eyed girl like me. But, she has dark eyelashes (which look great) and she got quite a few shades tanner than i did this past summer. Not one sun burn with many hours of harsh sunrays. Another plus from her dear old dad.

I had to reply to your post because i can feel the love and enthusiasm you have for your daughter, same as i do for mine :) Always warms my heart to hear men talk with affection about their blood.

  9. Charles!

Those guys dwarf you! You look like a little kid compared to the large likes of them!

Other than that, you're looking good!

    Really isn't it the truth!

You do look good Charlie, glad you are doing well!

Was happy to spend the day at a conference instead of working on the unit! What a nice break from a 12 hr. shift. Really enjoyed watching my daughter's ballet/tap class. I see a rising star!

  11. We celebrated my daughter's 16th birthday yesterday :) She wanted to have a barbecue, followed by a camp out for her girlfriends, with S'mores and hot dogs roasted on sticks over a campfire. It was a lot of fun!

    That sounds great!

Was happy to take my daughter shopping for winter clothes and then hanging out at the bookstore for a bit. Ended a nice day with dinner at Olive Garden. The weather was fantastic again, too.

  12. my car started spraying water out over the bonnet while driving today .... end result, new radiator, $520 :( . sure didn't need that to happen, but the good thing is it didn't happen while i was on my holiday in a few weeks time. i will be driving quite a distance, so i am glad it happened now, and not in the middle of my trip. :)

I sure know what you mean. It's never a good time to have to put out a large sum of money for something unexpected. But, as you said, good it happened before your trip, and certainly not during. Have a great vacation, slave to zep! Be safe!

  13. Day 3 of a nasty headache :( Not firing on all cylinders this week.

Hi Virginia, sorry to hear about this. Do you think it could be a sinus headache? Have you tried medicine that didn't work? If so, you might want to see a doctor. I hope you feel better soon!

  14. That's a good one, then you don't need to work all nighters, weekends, holidays, etc., like some of my friends who are RN's at the hospitals do.

As my daughter approaches grade school, this is something i may need to consider. I hear it's a cake job, too... something i have never had and feel overdue for :)

Happy i came up with a nice project to send to my daughter's show and tell tomorrow. Instead of just showing off the Kai Lan stuffed animal she's bringing (the usual is the kids bring a toy and show it) i made a beautiful poster board for her to bring along. I drew all the characters from the show and put some common chinese words for the children to learn in class. Came out looking really pretty. I bet the teachers will be impressed (of course gonna say she did it all, lol... i know, ... they won't believe it).

  15. hi tangerine  . the family and my wonderful man are all doing well, thankyou for asking. :) i knew that the U.S. schools take a break over summer, but i thought that was june/july. and i didn't realize that the year ended and started then, i thought it was just a mid year break. we have a break from about the 20th dec till the first of feb, and then the new year starts. i wish i was a teacher and got all those long holidays .... not just the 4 weeks like i do. ah well, shoulda went to uni i guess! my 2 weeks holiday is coming up though, can't wait!

I'm glad everyone is good! After reading what Manderlyh says, if you decide to go to Uni, become a registered nurse :) you can get a job as a school nurse, have the summers off, and don't have to spend time making lesson plans on vacation...
