Ash Telecaster
Sorry if this post has been recycled but I'm new here and didn't see it anywhere. Has anybody ever actually figured out what amp or amps JP used on Zep I? Has he ever really said? He gets such a powerful sound on that album. I've heard he used a Supro Thunderbolt and also heard he used a Vox Super Beatle. Is there any confirmation, interviews etc? I'm sure JP knows what he used but it seems he's been reluctant to say. TheStairwayRemainsTheSame
Supro 1690T Coronado Jimmy's in-studio "secret weapon". Used on the first album and randomly with other studio albums Modified with an on/off switch for tremolo, boosting gain Features 1x12" speaker, modified from the original 2x10" configuration Also Page didn't use a thunderbolt, that's one of the biggest fibs out there. Thanks! Are there any in production amps today that are built with a similar design that would approximate the Zep I sound?

Most of the Orange amps emulate that heavy 60's sound like the OR200
