kenog
I found this piece about magician, Mike Stoner, who works in the Berkshire area, and has performed for Jimmy (presumably at one of his (JP's) parties). Specialising in: Close-up Magic Ideal for: Weddings, Parties, Dinners, Trade Shows & Exhibitions Based in: Berkshire (entertains nationwide) Website: www.magician-4-hire.co.uk Mike Stoner is a full-time professional magician and mind-reader who entertains with a mixture of traditional magic, modern fast-moving psychological magic, palm-reading and metal bending. Mike Stoner
Hi - Thanks for the mention. Yes I performed some magic for Jimmy and his family at a restaurant in Reading called "Old Orleans" (recently rebranded as "Miller & Carter"). Jimmy was a true gent and thoroughly enjoyed the magic, although he did spend quite a lot of the time on his mobile. He was happy to have his picture taken and it's been a great boost to business, several bookings have come from people saying "If you're good enough for Jimmy Page then you're good enough for me!" http://www.magician-4-hire.co.uk
SteveAJones
Mike, I understand at the time you were the resident magician at Old Orleans, performing twice a week from 2010-2011. Could you possibly recall any specifics concerning the date (day/month/year and/or day of the week) and occasion you performed for Jimmy and his family? It would be great to see that picture as well! Thank you.
Mike Stoner
There's a picture of me with Jimmy on the "celebrity magic" page of my website (at the top naturally!), that's the only one that we took, I didn't want to hassle him for more. I'm pretty sure it was a Tuesday evening, but I can't remember the exact date, it must have been about 18 months ago. What I do remember is that the staff in the restaurant (mainly in their late teens and early twenties) had no idea who he was or who Led Zeppelin were - outrageous! http://www.magician-4-hire.co.uk Edited March 11, 2012 by Mike Stoner

kenog
I came across yet another magician who seems to have been encountered by Jimmy. Obviously, I don’t know what the circumstances were of them meeting. kenog
Thanks SteveAJones-san, As ever, you add value ("put meat on the bones") of others' postings. It looks to me that Jimmy likes 'magic', as well as 'magick'.
