That is correct it was the family who sought getting money for using Dixon tracks related to zeppelin's versions. Page settle all this shortly after, thus its a closed case. Except for the zep haters who like knocking zep for actually stealing blues numbers and taking it to a new but boring level.

Jimmy knew the point of contention with WLL was lyrical content. IMHO, Dixon should have been properly credited at the time.

Robert did not receive songwriting credits on the first album because Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You was credited as "Trad. arr. Page" to avoid paying royalties to Joan Baez.

When we take into account Led Zeppelin had hooked Dixon up with the cover songs and how much was made, did they really feel the need to go chase Led Zeppelin down for one song? I think the folkies got thrown under the bus, the whole thing about "bluesmen getting ripped off by LZ" is flat out myth.

Didn't they edit some of the live versions of "Whole Lotta Love" to avoid paying royalties for some of the songs in the medley?
