cheeba
Hi Zeppelin fans, I made this to collection of tracks to coincide with the release of Celebration Day. Really hope you all enjoy it, i spent a while getting it right, loading it with interview samples and making it move through the first 6 albums chronologically with all manner of references so i hope, you the fans, get a lot from it! anyway, here's the mix and the info. Please enjoy and share http://soundcloud.co...ba/led-zeppelin cheeba Following the worldwide success of the 'Paul's Boutique' remix project 'Caught In The Middle of A 3 Way Mix' (produced with fellow Solid Steel DJs; Moneyshot and DJ Food) DJ Cheeba returns with another documentary style mix charting the huge influence and mass appeal of arguably the greatest rock band of all time: Led Zeppelin. This mix has been made to coincide with the release of 'Celebration Day' and digs chronologically through the band's first six albums (1969-1975), picking out key tracks, their influences, subsequent covers and some of the notable examples of where they were sampled in hip hop, dance music and pop. From 'Good Times, Bad Times' to 'Kashmir' this is a DJ mix made for everyone from the die hard fans who were there in 69' to the kids who only know the name from the iconic tee shirts. TheStairwayRemainsTheSame
This is great and really creative, I feel it would of been more special if all the covers were left out though.

I could have made a purely Zeppelin originals mix but surely you would be better off just listing to the albums back to back?
chillumpuffer
Very well done there Cheeba. DJ's have a long history sampling Zeppelin. I remember Paul Oakenfold dropping Stairway on a mix in the 90's

chillumpuffer
Yes I'm sure it has but you can't beat his Goa Mix from 1994. As quality mix as anyone has ever done. I recorded it originally and i can't believe that was 18 years ago
