Thanks. Hopefully the remaster gives people another reason to listen to this show, because it's a really good performance. Everything from September 1971 is gold.
Agreed!

Another great job Steve, I have this on a bootleg and it was always a very muddy sound to it and hard to listen to at times. This sounds very clear. Well done!
And of course I'd love a copy Steve.

NO THEY WONT DO And MAKE SURE TO PROTECT YOUR EYES. ITS NO JOKE. Only safe time is the 4 minutes that the Sun is TOTALLY COVERED BY THE MOON. That is not much. that is the highlight of the event BUT, DANGEROUS AS HELL TO LOOK DURING PARTIAL. NEED THOSE GLASS'S. MANY LIBRARIES ARE GIVING THEM OUT. Sure they rae online, we got ours that way. We are right in the path of the total eclipse. Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse are all in it. I am in the Rochester area. About 25 miles SE. I am just hoping that we do not get cloudy day. That would suck.
They are closing schools and many business's
I got some UV glasses on Amazon that are safe for the eclipse. Wish we were having a total eclipse in my area, but no such luck. It will be about 91-2 percent, which isn't bad. Interesting fact is that temperature will drop about 10 degrees during this.

Where I am in CT, we should get about 91-93 percent total eclipse. Rather have total but I'll take it.

If anyone is interested, Sirius XM will be broadcasting U2's final and 40th show at Sphere on Sunday, March 17th and quite fitting for St. Paddy's day. U2's channel is U2-X and #32. Show is at 8pm ET.

This sounds amazing! Great work Steve. Please send me a link when you have a chance. Eye Thank you!

What kind of glasses are these? Will sunglasses do or perhaps they aren't strong enough?

U2 Brings Sphere Residency To Triumphant Close - https://ultimateclassicrock.com/u2-sphere-residency-last-show/
Great final show last night. They brought Daniel Lanois on stage to do "One" with them as he produced "Achtung Baby." As last night was show #40 for the band at Sphere, they couldn't have ended their residency any better with a performance of "40." Glad I got to see them on 10/18 for show #9. One of the greatest concert experiences I've ever had and I've been to a lot of shows. The sound and visuals are mind blowing.

Page did play "You Really Got Me" for 8 seconds in 1971
I'm just saying he played the ending solo of Layla during the ARMS shows, not the studio version by Derek and The Dominoes.

Actually, we do know. Who told you this rumor? It's absolute bollocks. Eric Clapton and Duane Allman played guitar on the 1970 "Layla" recording. Full stop.
Actually JP did play the ending solo on "Layla" once the piano comes in. But, not the studio version but on the ARMS concerts mini-tour with Clapton and Beck. Glad I got to see this in person. First time I ever saw JP live.

Sounds awesome Steve. Please send me the song!

This is going to be a good one!
Could you send me a link Steve?
I can't wait to listen to this show!

Just happened to be watching this gem last night!
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLx4honwtRxF3R-WRzZvbCo83jx288ZQmV&si=UoZD6SlbFqO9EG5XThat's a good one. I remember the day MTV aired this show and it was in the afternoon. Hours later, I'd be seeing Robert in Hartford, CT, so that was great timing and got me primed for his show.

I was at that show. I have a recording of it, if you're interested. Not great quality, but a nice reminder of the show.
It's a great concert memory. Hopefully, the show is fairly listenable. I'll take a link.
Thanks Steve.

Sounds very cool. I would love a link to this and of course including Thank You which is a great version.

WOW! First the 1978 Van Halen drop on Christmas and now THIS!!! Spectacular news.
Just watched the VH footage. Great footage, even if not complete but great to have this. Great performance by the band and lots of energy. Sound quality is also very good and synched well. Sound is quite muddy for the final song and YRGM." Worth watching. Thanks for mentioning this Strider as I didn't know about it. Only saw them once and at the former New Haven Coliseum which was imploded about 15 years ago. The place was kind of a dump. They had a parking garage and most people hung on the roof of the garage before shows to party. But, you had to be careful with all the broken beer and liquor bottles. It was always a sea of broken glass. Such memories. This VH show was my first concert in October, 1982 and a very memorable one. I couldn't believe how loud they were. DLR was quite humorous during the concert.

That's awesome! Looking forward to seeing this in three days!

That was great and an unbelievable editing job by LZF as always.
