If you bought it in 1980 you probably got the same one I got around the same time at a record shop in Killeen, Texas in 1981...the Phoenix Records release with the HR Giger cover.

That's the one I have! Definitely a very bizarre and unique cover!

Absolutely. If you have a halfway decent collection of bootlegs, especially 1975, then odds are you have an Artie tape in your collection.

His 1975 tapes were available long before the soundboards came out. The first Artie tape I acquired was the famous Montreal 1975 bootleg. First issued on the Amazing Kornyfone label in 1975 (TAKRL 2960), then reissued on Phoenix Records and other labels in the 1980s.

This is the very first bootleg by Led Zeppelin I acquired in a local independent record store. The sound quality is quite good, but the album cover to mine is different. It's quite cool and unfortunately with a Google search, I couldn't locate it.  I got this probably around Spring of 1980. I had only been into Led Zeppelin around 6 months ago, when I got my first bootleg and so many more to follow!

  3. Here are a couple more videos and hope the link works.

These are more of the "Lemon Remix" as a bit of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love."

I can see these on my side and hope they do for you. Let me know if these videos can be viewed by some of you. Thanks and enjoy!

I may post some of the full length songs from the show I filmed with my Pixel in the coming days.

  4. Here's a video from my show at Sphere on October 18th. This is just the introductory music by the DJ the band hired to play music before the show. This is the "Lemon Remix"  I can't post the rest of these via my pc as they exceed the file size limit. I may have to upload them to another site and post the link. We'll see and hope to figure it out.

Thanks for posting these videos. I went to the Wednesday, October 18th show and it was like no other concert I've ever experienced. The sound and visuals clarity were astonishing. I was in the 100's and had a great view of the stage. And I basically didn't have an obstructed view as I was in row 23, but my section began at row 12, so actually the 12th row. The only obstruction I had was a very small part of the ceiling, otherwise I could see everything. Here is my view from my seat. I was quite happy with my location.

I also shot several videos with my Google Pixel and most of these came out rather well with some complete songs. Hope I can post these as these are on my personal pc and not YouTube.

^^Very cool SuperDave! Man, what I would give to see certain aging artists perform there.

Much obliged. It's an amazing venue. You have never experienced visuals and sound clarity like this ever before. Sphere was built for music and performing arts. Hope they get some other big and great artists lined up.

  7. I saw U2 at Sphere in Las Vegas last Wednesday. Great show and you've never experienced a concert the way it was intended to like this. Amazing sound and visuals. This venue was just built for concerts. I know many of you have seen the visuals on the outside, but inside they're even more stunning. Inside the sound had just amazing clarity and I filmed a few videos just with my Google Pixel phone and the sound is incredible. There are something like 170K speakers inside Sphere and every seat has a speaker and subwoofer.

Here's the view from my seat and I was in the 100s. No problem with the overhang except perhaps just a small part of the ceiling.

I've also included a video. Just pay attention to the visuals during the video as they progress. It's a complete version of "Where The Street Have No Name." Enjoy!

I hope your seats weren't blocked with limited view of the stage like many others were. Whole lotta complaints.

Those are the seats in the 100 level sections on the sides. I'm in the upper section and 406. It's high up but center of 400's just a few rows up. Looking forward to this, two weeks from today.

  9. Going to see U2 in Las Vegas at The Sphere in just over three weeks. It may be unlike no other concert experience with the sound system and visuals. Over 1.2 million hockey puck sized LED lights on the outside of the arena which can display anything or animate in ways you've never seen. The clarity is stunning. World's largest video screen inside as well as something like 160,000 speakers. Every seat has their own speaker. Plus many other sensory effects. This will be something!

Here is one of the very cool examples of the outside visual display of The Sphere.

Can’t wait to see this in the UK Akio Sakurai is as close to hearing and seeing the real thing as we will get these days. Jimmy has given him the official seal of approval having seen him play in a club in Japan and has sanctioned 25 tracks to be used in the film. Plant and/or Jones or Bonham estate could easily have blocked this but thankfully appreciated the work -over 8 years in the making -that has gone into this .Seeing 25 plus classic Zep tracks played live  and (guitarwise) note perfect on a big screen in Dolby 7.0 -doesn’t get much better !

Well said and definitely. There aren't a lot of showings of this film as it is a documentary and not a wide release. The closest showing from me is about 15 miles. It's only for one day and hope I can see it in the theatre.

This is great. Some initial thoughts:

    1. A LOT of thought and love went into this and kudos to everyone involved. It's a musical and visual love letter. I almost teared up a couple times.

    2. When the camera first panned to the pic of Jonesy making him look Christ-like, I had to chuckle. Pretty clever. Later in the video, the camera pans back to the same photo then shows us the Mona Lisa, which also made me chuckle, as Jonesy's rocking his typical Mona Lisa smile in the photo.

    3. There are a TON of Easter eggs in this thing, which is putting my inner detective into overdrive lol. I NEED to know what that bartender is saying on the phone (also, wonder if he's meant to symbolize Peter Grant here?).

    4. Everyone does a great job, and the drummer in particular is fantastic. I also love that the guitarist did his own thing with the solo, while still sounding very Page-like, and it  works beautifully.

It is so well done and a lot of planning and thinking went into this. Especially all the LZ and ITTOD references and the various album covers. Not only this, but this is a great cover of the song.

I suppose someone here could really break this down with a very detailed and comprehensive overview of the song and video.

  12. I ran into this on YouTube the other day and I couldn't believe how good it was. The female singer is amazing. I hope this is legit as it does sound so close to the original version. Her vocals are so much clearer than Robert's from the studio version. I prefer the later released rough mix around 2015 with  the remastered albums from LZ, but love this version. The beginning of the video is quite cool as you just need to look at the ITTOD cover art and see where this comes from. I think the band is just called "The Secret Team" as what it says in the YT notes. The singer is Susan Kovacs and WOW....what a voice! Much clearer than RP's vocals on the original album.

To me, this is one of the very most underrated Led Zeppelin tracks and not nearly as known as it should be. My favorite from ITTOD. Others that are not as known include For Your Life, In The Light and Custard Pie among them. We know these, but the casual LZ fan may not as some of their best!

Enjoy and please respond on what you think of this whether positive or not!

    Thanks.

I thought about posting this in the "Other Bands" section for a Zep cover band, but hope it's ok here. Otherwise do what you wilt!

Saw this pop up in my Facebook feed - there's a documentary coming about about Akio Sakurai, a.k.a. 'Mr. Jimmy' who's the guitar player in Jason's band. In the trailer there's a fun bit of the real Jimmy watching him play. Looks like it'll be an interesting doc. It comes out September 1st.

    Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSaVHb9_PaM&ab_channel=Abramorama

Obviously, Led Zeppelin has approved this film as there is something like 25 Led Zeppelin songs in the film. Definitely, want to see this. It will be in a limited release.
