Which suggests it has been added to the Led Zeppelin documentary.
It's still there.

Another awesome one!

No Doubt. . And don't get me started on what happend to Carouselambra:):)
I don't think I understand most of the lines in that song. Although, a bit easier with the outtake version from a few years ago as a lot clearer.

Hahaha. I see what you did there, SuperDave. Line...good one.
I was going to post about one of my Robert Plant encounters but sod all that now.
I knew you'd get the joke. Thought more would catch that.
I want to hear about your Robert Plant encounter!

this. . The fact the through all the studio stuff Robert either gets buried in the mix, has a accent , has to make stuff work in the song, annunciation, or just being a singer. .
Ex. Houses Of The Holy "Satan and Man" . .
Ex. The Ocean "high hopes hailla balll" (or whatever)
I think it's COCAINE but it sounds like cook it, cookie, co- cay, etc. .
It's tough to distinguish what he is saying on many songs at certain points in them at times. Immigrant Song is another one with several lines like this.

Thanks for sharing this and putting it together. Very creative and beyond cool!

All of this just over how a "line" is pronounced in a song.

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. I always wondered why they didn't play Levee more frequently. It's a killer song, and could really have been a centerpiece live.
Definitely Steve, When I heard it on a bootleg many years ago, it didn't sound great as a lackluster bootleg. But this sounds killer!

Very cool. Thanks for sharing Sam.

This gives some nice backstory and details to the whole affair. The Etienne fellow from France sounds interesting.
Thanks Strider. Great article with good info on the footage. This is just amazing perhaps, from my favorite Zeppelin show of all time.

Thanks. I had heard the organ noises, but didn't know that he played the drums. And it was surprising that they actually set up a couple of drums on stage specifically for him, as opposed to him just banging on one of the drums on Bonzo's kit. Although I suppose you do not want to be messing with Bonzo's drums when he's in the zone.
I think that is good advice and I'm sure JPJ was well aware of it!

Sounds good and looking forward to see it.
Perhaps, some of these gems are some of the film clips that have surfaced on YT over the past few months and especially over the last week. Maybe one of these is the one that will be out tomorrow for the 9/4 anniversary of that historic show?

Couldn't get past Rolling Stone's paywall and if you think I'm giving money to RS, HA!
But yes, "Battle of Evermore" was a delight on this tour with Alison Krauss. Certainly no need to feel embarrassed about the song...or "Stairway To Heaven", for that matter. I think Robert took the criticism in the 1980s and the Wayne's World jibe too seriously. Led Zeppelin has endured far longer than Wayne's World.
Agreed Strider. Battle was done so well on the tour. Saw them in Philly at The Mann and a packed house. The crowd was really into the show back in June.
I'm with you regarding RS and won't pay to read their crap journalism.

Very cool footage even though just bits from songs.

Very cool video. Love this!

You still get the feeling he isn't proud of his years with Zeppelin. Quite how he is embarrassed regarding The Battle Of Evermore, as it's a wonderfully sung and beautiful piece of music
Perhaps that's true. But, he is performing "Battle" with Alison on their current tour which I got to see them do. Great version!

Great version. I remember how good this was in June in Philly. Awesome show!

I gave up trying to use the search engine to find this thread and just jumped to August 2021 and voila!
Happy 74th birthday to the Golden God, Robert Plant! A little more grey than golden these days. But, as his show at the Greek the other night attested, age has not withered his talent or charisma.
Definitely Strider. I saw him back in June in Philly and felt the same. What a show he and Alison put on. I especially loved J.D. McPherson. I hope you caught his opening set as he was so good.

What an amazing story and thanks for sharing this after so many years!

Why can't it just be he was pleasantly surprised by Jason's participation in the tribute and moved to tears by the bowler hats the late John Bonham was known for wearing?
Well said Steve and I believe that sums it up on that day!

Very cool. I saw this a couple of weeks ago.

It's great to hear things when it happened, and considering when.
JJ Jackson seemed to be one of the few Zeppelin-forever guys, and a guy that Led Zeppelin respected, since they couldn't stand the press (who does?).... Anyway, great interview, talks about "In Through The Out Door" of course, but I won't spoil it... Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing this. I remember this airing on 102.7 FM in NYC when it premiered. This was the time when I was beginning to get into Led Zeppelin. I enjoyed this interview a lot.

My apologies mate, looking back that was a rather rude post of mine. I am afflicted by dreaded Covid at the moment and not in the best of moods.
No big deal. Sorry to hear about Covid. Make a full recovery soon!

There's an actual picture of it, on this site
I only said that because the title refers the state of New Jersey and not the isle of Jersey where the performance took place.

Great stuff. He's a good singer.
